An opposition coach would want to ensure that scoring threats are minimised first and foremost and then the accumulators after that. But it probably depends on the way the game develops and even the weather. Whoever starts in the midfield from each centre bounce out of Rich, Hanley and DBeams would be the first target I would think. If there is more than one of those three in the middle I think Hanley possesses the greatest threat because of his run and general unpredictability - when he has space he makes the defensive structures fall apart quite quickly with ball in hand. If Rich plays more an outside role and I am losing the clearances I would probably move the tag to Rich. The same with Beams.
Zorko I would only tag hard if he was really damaging during a game and otherwise just hope I had someone on him who could keep him honest at the contests and especially on turnovers. Rockliff and Redden are too hard to tag out of the game unless they are absolutely ripping it apart. Sooner or later Rockliff in particular will just outlast my tagger anyway. Games that are a slog in the wet are the ones I think I would fear Rocky the most because he will be the one to hurt me most with his disposals out of the congestion.
The other one I would really set up for in my defensive 50 would be Josh Green at the stoppages, especially less than 30 out from goal. I wouldn't want him to have an inch of room and he would be my greatest concern - get someone smothering him the whole time at those stoppages. Even more than Beams or Hanley that close to goal, Green would be the one to worry most about.
I can already picture plenty of TV shots of frantic opposition coaches screaming into their phones trying to shift a tagging specialist around to any one of four or five players. And it making no difference.
