Details: Not putting them in here because the AFL just loves making this painful

Who can forget the last time we played Collingwood?

Good times, good times...

Or when the men's team played them the week before. I'm sure we all remember what it took to avoid a 0-3 start.

That sliding doors moment saw us win 11 out of our next 13 and Collingwood kick off a five game losing streak and only win three out of their next twelve.

Now we're in a bit of an on-off form slump, combining floggings with losses to teams we shouldn't be losing to. Collingwood OTOH is... also still in a slump. *shrug* And as an added bonus they don't even have their own first round pick to look forward to.

Rather than going into nitty-gritty, I'm just going to point out that even when we're crap we've pulled off upset wins against the Pies.

If you've got a couple of hours spare you can even watch all of that last one!

And then there's obviously some other videos worth watching...

We get up for games against the Pies with a couple of notable exceptions that should not be named in this thread. I'm less worried about this game than I was against Hawthorn for instance. Here's to hoping the guys continue on their merry way - top 4 is out of our hands, but we should at least be willing to hold our hands out in case someone drops 4th into it.

Boys are on the plane.
Looking forward to Saturday night at the Gabba!
Wooh!

Hope this ends up correct.
Would not be the first time our Lions have flown somewhere only to end up somewhere else.
Just visited AFL site before posting and still no notification about games this weekend.
Hopefully something official comes through soon

Listening to the Roar Deal this avo with Greg Swann and he seemed to say a few times about the game possibly being at the Gabba on Sat night (non commital) but it was mentioned.

50% with mask wearing requirements.

We'll be on a roll now. Always great to get a win over the Pies, and this weekend will be no exception 🦁

At last look the AFL site has Gabba as venue but nothing else
Part of article from foxsport. They could be guessing
.....

On Saturday night it is hoped Brisbane can host Collingwood at the Gabba.

The Magpies have been told all staff and players would go into hard quarantine on Thursday night at home, stay in a Melbourne hotel on Friday night, fly to Brisbane on Saturday morning, play Saturday evening and then fly immediately home.

Upsets can happen anytime this season.

Our guys need to maintain the rage they built against Freo .

No slumbering for the first half ala the Gold Coast game or even worse for three quarters as they did against the Hawks,

We got out of jail against the Suns but the Hawthorn game was a bridge too far.

Would imagine the club would need this fixture confirmed ASAP if they're going to run a ballot again. Generally they'd give a day minimum for the ballot to be open, then need to assign tickets after that - they are running short on time now.
