So Phillips was 100% not playing? Because reportedly she alone could defeat us all.

As confirmed in the Match Report on the AFL Website:

"The key
The Crows struggled without the AFLW's reigning best and fairest Erin Phillips, who was a late scratching with a quad injury. Without Phillips, the Crows couldn't win any ball through the midfield and lacked touch with their disposal. The Crows also had to throw the outstanding Chelsea Randall into the midfield, which left a hole in defence that Frederick-Traub exploited. The Crows will be desperately hoping Phillips is right to return for next week's clash with Melbourne. "

Poor old Crows. No wonder they couldn't win with 0% of the ball through the midfield.

How on earth did we only win by 12 points?

Melbourne will be praying to the Footy Gods that Phillips is NOT "right" for next week.

It's going to mean the difference between a 5 goal win and an 8 goal loss.

Thought SFT was a bit lazy at times. In other words she was very good but I think she still has upside could really be the difference. Teams are going to put a bit of time into stopping her and might put a speedy defender nearby to swoop on the loose ball. If she keeps clunking them it won't matter. Brisbane's positioning in defence is where they are ahead of most teams.

Also thought Randall was great in her hit outs using that fabulous leap to out reach her taller opponent. We got toweled up a tad in the ruck last season.

I agree. The first half particularly when there were no second efforts. Looked like she was spoken to about it at half time because her intensity lifted and so too the second and third efforts. Gets that right and she will crucify her opponents.

I think in some instances her physical size makes her look a bit slow and un-reactive but she is actually moving quite well against her opponents who can be head and shoulders shorter and can change direction and pace more easily. I though she was magnificent last night.

If yoi had to choose one of girls to kick a goal for your life from a set shot who would you take? I reckon Weutschner
Kashy was pretty cool with her shot near the death as well.

They might as well just play one on one next week, Phillips v Daisy

Yeah they were and I expect a tough match as well. Their scoring power in the first half really impressed me.

To be fair, Freo were woeful and the moment Freo improved their pressure the dogs crumbled (3rd qtr). Brisbane should win so long as we apply our usual high standard of pressure.

Hopefully. I think that Brisbane are more ferocious and have more speedy players than Fremantle, so hopefully Brisbane keep the pressure right up.

The beauty is that we shouldn’t fear any side, they should fear us.

Bring on the Dogs and Melbourne.
100% success rate against every team in the comp accept Adelaide (66.66%).
