Very similar to what they did last year with West Coast, and it backfired horribly.

Who do you think this favors though?

Based on this year finishing positions
Lions get
Pick 19.pick 20.53
Suns
Pick 5

Great trade both way.suns don't need more picks an should land a top ten pick at worst.

Freo want 2 firsts for Neale, lions didn't want to do that so they flip thete future pick and gain a second and third. Then send 6 + 19 to freo and probably ask for a few later picks. Not to bad to build assets for next year. GC the big winners because they most likely get a top 10 pick out of it

Gold Coast have finally won a trade for the first time since entering the AFL in 2010.

Probably something like pick 6 (2019) for pick 19 (2018), pick 20 (2019) and pick 45 (2019).

That's great.
I think trading Tom Hickey for pick 13 will always be our biggest win.

For Brisbane,

Likely to be a bad deal for them, some chance of it being a win, small chance of it being a disaster.

Even if they be top 8 and get a pink around pick 10, pick 10 for pick 19 + pick 19/20 is only a SMALL WIN.

If they are bottom 5 its pick 5 for pick pick 19 + pick 19/20 which is quite a HUGE LOSS.

Bad trade. Especially since it won't make that much difference on Beams trade. All they're getting is 2 1st rounders for Beams + pick 32 instead of 1 1st rounder + 2nd rounder for Beams.
