I had a good time at the Gabba on Saturday. Borrowed some season tickets and settled in for the game.
Lappin was playing great, as were Lynch (4 goals), Voss , and McDonald.
Brisbane seemed to be constantly kicking into a contest in the first half, while the Crows had free men all over the place. Brisbane still managed to stay ahead by 2 at the end of the first half, with accuracy being the main problem.
Hart lifted the Lions in the opening minutes of the second half with two goals in as many minutes. Another three goals in the third term to only two by Adelaide really shut the Crows out. Bookies were tipping 24 1/2 to 26 1/2 to the Lions so I don't think they had a win on the day with the Lions coming home with 122 to the Crows 92.
I don't follow the Lions and have been taking even less notice of the Crows this year, but really you take what footy you can get in Brisbane.
Next match is Brisbane against my Grandmother's old team, the Bombers, in mid-May. Fans in Victoria should really be grateful for the selection of matches they can attend each week - because I don't even get to see my team play live this year unless I spring for airfare and a hotel room
