play like we have in our last two games and we should beat Brisbane by 100+.

no mercy, im ******* so tired of having every game we should win by 20 goals ending with us either losing or stealing victory from the jaws or defeat. if we ever want to finish above 7th again we have to put teams like brisbane to the sword. we almost beat the most in form team in the cometition at their home ground. brisbane away from home should be a training drill.

in - hooker
out - mckernan (useless)

i want to see us do what we did to melbourne in 2013.

then again within 6 weeks of that we'd ended up 40 points down to GWS when the line was 100 points and our odds were the shortest in history ($1.005) and then lost to this exact hopless team the week after.

Im glad someone put this up early so i can put the sydney loss behind - oh wait - Im still talking about it - Sydney loss by 1 point - goal after siren - Sydney win when we should have won. wtf Goddard wtf.
Yes thankyou Im OK - * Sydney - better now - Im going to be OK....We'll beat Brisbane - I hope........

Destined for disaster this game.

Two unfortunate trends have developed with this fixture.

A) The Lions have had a habit in recent years of beating us at Etihad, even in games we have been considered 'favourites' ...

B) The mental 'toughness' of this club when it has been expected to rebound after a diabolical loss.

The Lions midfield has been on fire in recent weeks and if we take them lightly then we can expect a tough afternoon. They will pose a significant challenge for us, despite their ladder position. Considering our recent track record we cannot afford complacency of any kind.

Some players could have been a bit flat after the bye. But I don't think anyone needs a rest.

I am never confident when it comes to beating s**t teams.
We will * these guys up so hard though.
The loss, while bad might fuel the whole season.

do you ever analyse the actual football or just post about superstitious, nebulous things

Would be very surprised if Hooker is over his injury for this game.

McKernan is his own worst enemy. He drifts into and out of games. When he drifts out of
games like in the 2nd quarter last night, his body language and supposed lack of care and
desire to compete looks bloody terrible. But for his few minutes of glory, he is a beautiful
kick and obviously has the skills.

Francis also drifts in and out of games. But I reckon it is time for him to come in for McKernan.
He is due for a break out game.

Reckon the player that we missed last night was Myers. He has been playing a pseudo tagging
and blocking role. He would have been on Kennedy last night. Reckon he should come back in
for Jobe.

In: Francis, Myers
Out: McKernan, Watson

Out: Goddard (needs a rocket after some of his questionable disposal), Watson (give him a spell - freshen him up for a finals tilt), Colyer (still not doing enough), McKernan (stiff -did his job)

In: Parish, Bird, Hocking, Hooker
Thought Colyer was one of our best last night. He continually had them chasing. Swans seemed more concerned about stopping Colyer than McKenna and Fantasia.

Both valid points.
The competition has been so unpredictable this year that you can't assume any game will be easy. Factors such as form and ladder position aren't really as defining as what they used to be.

Would like to see something like this -

In - Parish, Begley, Hooker
Out - Howlett, Green, McKernan
