I was rather confused by that as well. Thought I was looking at two different threads.Hang on, shouldn't broadcast graphics history thread, be the exact history of the broadcast graphics? I don't think it's a good idea to do half screencaps and half custom creations

I was planning to recreate them in HD similar to what storm20 did. Im just having trouble finding the correct fonts. another idea could be weekly comps of broadcast graphics? Also Grandsun I moved your concepts to the tv graphics design thread so that they don't get mixed up with legit graphics.
There is a thread in the Fourth Estate board that I chronicled all the AFL graphics going back to 1990, but I hadn't updated it for a couple of years and most of the images have disappeared anyway. I'll see if I can dig them up again to complete the set. Happy to leave this thread open in the meantime, and if anybody has higher res versions of some of those graphics, we can compile them all together in here and then come up with a definitive collection. Gibbsy and I had talked years ago about creating a footyjumpers.com style website for them. Its still on the to-do list!
I KNEW I wasn't insane...Thats Channel Seven.
no that was channel 10. remember that channel 10 broadcasted that granny?I KNEW I wasn't insane...

Cheers crow, now I look like I am insaneI think that, given the relative short history of TV graphics, we should be able to come up with a pretty comprehensive database using actual examples. It will look much better than trying to recreate them IMO.
My bad, I quoted the wrong one originally. Have fixed it.
