I'd like a crack at Daniel Wells or Travis Boak
Half a box of pizza shapes, two slices of capricosa and a dirty bonds shirt.have him please please please take him we will accept any offer
he lives in WA how much footy has he seen of Prismall?Prismal is definitely over rated - soft half forward flanker with good footskills - very little real value.
McLean is a genuine onballer - very higher quality, very little chance of being traded

So he can kick but is slow, not defensive and cant play anywhere other than midfield, and people want us to go all out after this bloke because?
If he is outside who can get his own ball sounds like our players to a T we need a real inside not outside in
For a second rounder possibly, anything higher should be scoffed at.I because he will make a good AFL footballer, I doubt he will be a star at the level but he will be good. Atm we need inside midfielders despreatly but any midfielder with good skills would be handy and more then likely he will go much under his true value simply becuase he hasn't played many AFL games in his time on Geelongs list. If it only cost us a second rounder why wouldn't you trade it for a player with a couple years of development who has proven he can play senior footy.
He;d get the #1 tag if he came to Collingwood too.
Doesn't Bruce normally cop the hardest tag?
Collingwood need a key defender and Johnathon Brown not midfielders.
I agree we need midfielder but diligent drafting can help with midfielders in two year, most good mids can play and make a reasonable impression in their second year.Thats a very different opinion to those shown by most Pies supporters.....

Good strong experienced key defenders would be great right now. If two backmen go down while presti is out we are down to Dawes who is a CHF, thoolen and casey leigh none are great options really, Anthony will of course play and do his job well id assume.
A Maguire before injury, Thursfield, Hunter etc would really help us in the long run
Yeah i do understand but apart from brown we dont really have to backmen who can play on big kp forwards.Tall backs is one area which doesn't concern me at all. Between Brown/O'Brien/Anthony/Maxwell/Goldsack/Wakelin/Presti we currently have 7 guys who could play as tall defenders. It's our least pressing need after half-forward flankers.
Assuming no trades go through, our drafting strategy should look something like: 1st rounder: Inside Mid, 2nd-4th round: Small defender, inside mid, ruckman. The order of the last 3 should be based on talent, where we are drafting, etc...

O'Brien is too small, Goldsack is too light and lanky, maxy the samke as godlsack.
so my drafting would be
1st Inside mid(fast, good skills)
2nd tall strong backmen (fast strong body similar to brown)
3rd Midfielder( endurance)
4th best availiable
rookie list keefe.
All suggestions are subject to change with best talent at that pick
yeah speed is the thing that is expendable decent skills would well be expectedO'Brien's similar to Clement in that he can do it if asked, but it would probably take too much of a toll on his body if he were to do it every week. Obviously it's always good to have multiple back-ups at every position, but very few clubs would have more than 2 or 3 key defenders in the Brown/Presti mold.
Btw, I'd say there's almost no chance of getting an inside mid who's fast and has good skills at where we're picking. I'd settle for an inside mid with good skills, and would be willing to forego the pace.
McLean is good but he is not as good as Swan or Pendelbury.
Also the person who mentioned Wells must kidding themselves, he is in the top ten worst top ten picks surely. He has been a pathetic player.
Collingwood need a key defender and Johnathon Brown not midfielders. A ruckman would also be awesome. Fraser needs to play like Richo is on a wing/flank...
B: Brown, Anthony, O'Brien
HB: Clarke, Heath Shaw (c), Goldsack
C: Pendlebury, Thomas, Wellingham
HF: Didak, Cloke, Medhurst
FF: Rusling/Reid, Dawes, Davis
Foll: Swan, Dyas, Wood
Int: Dick, Cox, Cook, Fraser
Coach: Nathan Buckley
On second thought, i think ive just realised something. its impossible for me to be critical of our players lol (except lonie)

I agree. Although I think McLean is to slow to fit into our team. We need running players that can break the lines such as Kerr, Dal Santo and S Burgoyne.
