Interesting time for the club. I've probably posted more on this site in the last 2 days than I have for the 4 odd years I've been a member.
Shaun Burgoyne when fit and in form, is ridiculously good. He would be easily in the top 3 or 4 players at Hawthorn when at his best. Will we see his best? I hope so, a change of scenery often brings out renewed enthusiasm for the game, especially when your team is realistically gunning for a premiership.
However, as stated by many reasonable people, Jordan Lewis as a straight swap makes little sense, so Lewis + 9 for Burgoyne is just plain ridiculous and won't happen, so I wouldn't bother worrying about it.
To be honest, i'm not sure what the trade will be, I'm inclined to believe that pick 9 is enough in the circumstances, a lot of other people disagree and believe a player needs to be packaged along with the pick. Ladson just re-signed and Kennedy would be hard to trade, so if this is to happen, you'd think Port would want McGlynn or a young KP like Thorp or Dowler.
Either way, the clubs most immediate concern is the backline. Gibson wants to come to Hawthorn, and he has to be a lock for our recruiters, Burgoyne would be fantastic, but we can't let good KPB's slip through our fingers for more midfielders.
