You mean it's your opinion our list is better with him on.

At the price we're paying him I don't view it as such. Also I don't think he's made us a better team when he's got a game.

I'm happy ro take a punt on a kid at pick 60 that "might" play 200 games for us than a guy who has no hope in hell of even playing 50 for us the way he's going.

Losing BM doenst weaken our list so greatly as you seem to be suggesting given he's done sod all for us.

Given how none of us are privy to the clubs salary cap and how it's distributed I'm not sure how you can categorically state that having his wage off our books couldn't be useful. Maybe it is, maybe it isnt.

I just don't like paying decent money to a non contributor.

It's the opinion of everyone except you, similar to Gibbs earlier this year.

You just don't get it, this is not the year for players that might play 200 games at pick 60, it's a very thin talent pool and there's a better chance of Brock coming good than there is of getting a good player that late.

Again, who would you pick in the 60s that would be better than McLean? Name a few that might be there that would be better to have on our list.

Something I've learnt about this board over the years. Even if your one of only a few who don't agree with the majority it means nothing.

Which is why when I called for Fev to be traded I got berated by the "majority" who were the know it alls telling me what a stupid call.

Funny how that turned out.

It's not for me to say who we should pick.

I have more faith in our recruiting department than I do in BM at present thats the bottom line for mine.

Especially seeing as they will cost a fraction of what he's costing us.

Agreed again, but it still doesn't support your ridiculous suggestion os a pick in the 60s in this years weak draft for McLean.

I also have faith in our recruiting department and don't doubt for a second that they'd advise the club not to make the trade. Rogers has repeatedly said on twitter how thin the talent pool is in this years draft already and that was before the AA team was announced with a third of it being made up of players too young to be drafted.
 
I think things will play out that several other players will move on to other clubs and Brock will become an important depth player for us. He is worth sticking with when and if he delivers. If he never does he will be hung quartered etc and you can say I told you so then.

Ahh, good old c_p. Do you see that word nine letter word beginning with 'p'? Our promising key forwards include Lachie Henderson, Levi Casboult and Luke Mitchell. Of course they're not "working", they're developing. :o

Or are you thinking of jumping over onto the Bombers now that they're winning again? That's how it works with you, right? ;)

Any body have an actual update about Brock's injury?

As surely this thread is to discuss the injury not take pot shots at the bloke?

Regardless of personal opinion some pretty low stuff has been said about Brock and I for one hope that this injury is only a blip on his road back to the Navy blue as I feel he still has something to offer and those who judged him on his two games this year are illinformed and need to give him a chance to get back to full fitness and put together 6-8 games at AFL level. He was never going to be a player who would dominate from his first game and would need to build in to a season.

Most disappointing of all is the lack of support for a listed player and some people seeming to not wish the best for Brock and hoping that he fails. He is a Carlton listed player representing the Navy Blue and for that reason I hope he is able to come back and contribute for our seniors in the near future.

Henderson has failed all year as a forward, Mitchell is out injured and I doubt Levi is good enough to make it at AFL level

It's okay though,hugging your teddy bear will make it all better :)

Hendo has an interrupted pre-season and has struggled to find form as a result, but screw actually doing a bit of research. ;)

Irrelevant, despite having an emotional connection to another human being (please don't be too jealous, the 50-year-old floozies with their tan-coloured purses open don't count). Try again next time you worthless Carlton-bashing puppet. :D

I dont see why Carlton MC can't incorporate Brock McLean into our line up in a way that will work. There is no difference in the speed, toughness, kicking skills and tackling between Brock an Luke Ball, they are very similar players, but Collingwood can make Luke work in their lineup, so why can't we do it with brock?

To be honest, your attempts at insulting me reflect on your maturity or lack thereof.

If Hendersen is deemed fit to play each week by the MC, criticism is justified.

And I hate to break it to you, but your boyfriend Levi is likely to be delisted at season's end, to be brutally honest he's shit and barely impressive at VFL level

Oh Christ, if that ain't the ol' pot calling the kettle black... ;)

Well that's a bit awkward, he has struggling for fitness for the larger part of the season as a result of pre-season injuries. :o

We're not going to delist a key forward. They aren't exactly coming in thick and fast, and you don't delist them after only two years on the list. Swing and a miss, sarge.

Just not seeing it to be honest, but he does seem to have to tools to get there.
May well be one of those players that doesn't show too much and then bang.

He has although started to look a little puffier in recent weeks.
Can anyone confirm or deny that?
