Plenty more highlights too, I'm just lazy with Grundy because he does it week in, week out so It's "normal". The only thing he could of improved upon on the weekend was kicking one of those goals he missed. Other than that his performance was on par.

What I like the most is that at the end of the clip he's still sprinting, really trying to stay involved in the contest & exploit his speed advantage over Witts.

You can see how quck thinking he is. Was a passage yesterday ball went into our F50 or back 50 and he lead up fell to the ground as he collected , through falling forward you could see him weigh up one option then dismiss it and dish off elsewhere

As a pure ruckman I think gawn just wins but Grundy's is basically a beast in his own right because he becomes an extra midfielder. Think gawn will start over him just because of this

Despite all those other stats the extra 20% hitouts is what trumps it for me. And an extra 30% HO to advantage (16 vs 12), with also a higher HO to advantage %. (Advanced stats available on the AFL website).

Grundy is significantly better in Possessions, Tackles and Clearances. Gawn is significantly better at Marks, Hitouts and HO to advantage.
One set of those stats is more traditionally a ruckmans domain - therefore Gawn gets the starting Ruck role.
Grundy has also been incredible, and deserves an AA spot, but not at the expense of Gawn as 1st ruck.
