Grundy would lose his Superpowers if he moved clubs
The consensus among observers seems to be that he is going to be earning less per year than what he could command from other clubs, but he wants to stay at Collingwood long-term so will compromise on money.
Why not and good on him, sacrifices come in many forms and to win GF's you need to make some. Not that a 7 year deal at Collingwood is a sacrifice, just the $'s.

Appointed to our AFLW coaching group. How much are we paying him in that role? ;)

Collingwood’s AFL players Jordan Roughead and Brodie Grundy, together with Lynden Dunn, will also support the program as specialist coaches.

Its interesting for sure.

One minute we offer a new deal.
The new. a coaching role lol

whatever specialist coaching means. It's certainly not what I thought he would be interested in. Might be the case, what we lacked in money, made up for it in this role.

He could be the AFLW Ruck Coach ;)

AFL would have to Rubber Stamp it though

Re-signed for minimum chips, what he's being paid for the coaching role though beggars belief.... And it's outside the TPP.

Shifter Sheenan has lost the Plat. He does not even mention Grundy as top Pick at 18. Though gives it to the Diver Alex Rance?

No.18 - Alex Rance (Richmond, 2007)

Another current-day star and key defender from Western Australia earns the gong at 18, having already been named All Australian on five occasions (including once as captain) in his 200 games as well as being a premiership player and best and fairest winner for the Tigers.

There are a few others very worthy at this number with former North Melbourne champion Anthony Stevens (292 games, two best and fairest and twice All Australian) in the mix with Eagles star Luke Shuey (201 games, Norm Smith medallist and best and fairest winner).

They're not always mutually exclusive. As much criticism that Rance deserves at times he's still a great player. People are blind if they think otherwise.

Then a lot of Players that are Overrated.

Guess all of Collingwood Greats from the 60's to 80's are Overrated as they never won a Flag

Relax Dave. Grundy will probably go past Rance in time. Rance has more runs on the board at this point.

You would of Though Grundy at least get a Mention.

We would not made a GF and PF without Grundy but Tigers won a Flag WITHOUT Rance
