I really hope Brown can keep these performances up. 2008 he played really well I thought, only to be pretty poor for a fair while since. I know he can play well, he just needs to keep his confidence up and string some strong games together from the start of the 2011 season, then cement his place in the team.

I think there's a crucial time for most players, when they 'arrive', ie in their own hearts, they believe that they belong.

Browny did play those good games in 2008 on the big power forwards, I reckon he possibly thought he 'lucked in' more than believing he'd arrived per se.

I know i'm summising there, sorry for that, but either way, after that finals series, he certainly now knows ( even if he didn't before) he's Collingwood's full back for the forseeable future and believes that he deserves to be just that.

With that confidence, and the experience / stability of the back six, you'd back him in to be fine
