Was so obvious that Twitter lit up like a Christmas tree yet no mention of it on Channel 7. JB definitely gave it a wide birth. Will be interesting to see if there's any discussion about it.

I can't fathom why people are up in arms over specific cases of staging. It happens countless times in every single game and is well ingrained in any sport where umpires have to use their own interpretations when officiating rules.

Despite what you may believe umpires aren't actually omnipotent.

I wouldn't blame him if he did dive, not convinced he has. Just because he is over 200cm some reason umpires go easy on defenders and they are allowed to molest him, then there are some smaller key forwards who are given a free kick for minor incidental contact. Someone of that size is almost impossible to spoil legally on a lead by a smaller defender and umpires shouldn't go easy on the opposition just because they are not physically up for the challenge.

He has ten more free kicks then any other key forward in the league, not sure he is getting a real rough go at it.

If there have been a 100 legitimate free kicks that should have been paid to him and only 33 have been paid, saying he hasn't been hard done by because he has 10 more than anyone else is a silly thing to say unless everyone else has had similarly as many legitimate free kicks that haven't been paid.

That isn't to say that mids aren't hard done by either, they let a lot of things go with mids that they don't allow in other positions, however, the umpires in the grand scheme of things apply the logics equally through all teams in the midfield position, they don't say we pay fewer to Team A than we do to Team B because these players are so fast, nobody else can legitimately compete.

However, they have different sets of rules for some key forwards; certain forwards like Daniher, Brown etc play by a different umpiring rule book to some others who you literally can't touch in a marking contest, but because a few of the dinsoaurs are almost impossible to spoil legally, they give defenders a lot more leeway, when they shouldn't. It is a subconscious bias.
