Happy with the ins and outs, all things considered. Browne sounds like a very exciting prospect, hopefully he has a good one.
Watch for his decision making and disposal. A+ in both areas.

Bwahaha! 28 beers in two and a half hours. Then you'd have to have a couple to celebrate surely! No wonder you Thylacines are pretty thin on the ground.![]()
As he is my man, I will put it bluntly - it would seem as though Carlton owed it to AB to trade him last year, they are certainly treating him like crap.

Drop this ridiculous Russell escapade for crying out loud. He's playing his role every week, what more can you ask? Bentick just doesn't fit into the side, especially with Hadley in this year.
thats all good and well, but bentick could do russells role better than russell could. so why dont you just let us constantly talk about russell in the hope that a key person of carlton looks on these forums and hears our cry for justice.
Me too!!! I was begging for him pre draft on TC. Careful what you wish for!!!Forget about Browney, how are you feeling Gilly?
You called Browne a fair bit prior to the draft last year.
the call for russell's head is justified he may be doing his job but I would still prefer to see Armfield in the side... he has equal attributes of russell but his 2nd and 3rd efforts are much better and his courage is ten fold better...
however good luck to brownie, and to Harts... hopefully he can begin to shine for us and final repay the believers and become a genuine CHF for us!![]()

A nice pisstake, because Bentick can't play anywhere bar on the ball.thats all good and well, but bentick could do russells role better than russell could. so why dont you just let us constantly talk about russell in the hope that a key person of carlton looks on these forums and hears our cry for justice.
I'd love to see Bentick play on Aaron Davey.![]()
Sounds like something Bexta would be interesting in.Only if Davey had his ankles tied together.

Ok, so Armfield tries hard... Awesome. I love to hear that. But please tell what else has he has done to show that he's ready for a game yet?
The NAB cup was an opportunity for him to put his hand up for a game in Round 1. If he showed so much why didn't he get a game?he showed plenty during the NAB cup.
Russell has shown nothing this year... he may be "doing his job" but his jobs thus far have been pittyful and have barely effected the results of the games...
As I said the key attributes that Russell has (such as his speed... struggling here to find others...) Armfield has, plus he is more couragous and his second and third efforts are much more effective. He can do this "job" that you say that Russell does...
And at the end of the day on such a low key stage (ie match against Adelaide at the MCG vs. West Coast at Subi) it would be a good time to blood him...
If you are elluding to his VFL form being not grand, i cant comment on that, haven't seen him play but from the reports doing the rounds on here re: russells performances pre his AFL inclusion in round 2 (or 3?) his performances havn't been too crash hot!

You've never seen him play at VFL level, so what are you basing your opinion on that he's so good?![]()
How can anyone make claims about Russell when Ratten keeps picking him ahead of Jackson and others?Jackson played first round if i remember correctly and played all pre-season games and looked to be apart of Rattens plan. Unfortunately at this stage he can't work his way in.
He's not in danger of anything - he's only a kid! How can you make those sorts of claims?
No it's not.Good ins.
Gibbs has taken the grunt role,
in the guts.
Hartlett is being given his chance,
gotta put the aggro at the ball.
Browne, never seen,
should be interesting.
Seem to be working the list into a bit of depth now.
Selection of Number 2 is confusing.
How can anyone make claims about Russell when Ratten keeps picking him ahead of Jackson and others?
I make such claims because I don't rate a player who is an average kick and wasn't good enough to be drafted.
It's a long season, but Jackson should be playing better footy when he was picked in the 2005 rookie draft as a top age player.
How many slowish 188 cms taggers does one side need?
I'd have Walker, Bannister, Houlihan and Anderson ahead of him on my list when they're fit.
No it's not.
Russell did his job last week and we won.
He has more talent and potential than Bentick and Jackson put together if he develops.
*Yawn*he showed plenty during the NAB cup.

Don't care. There are ifs, big ifs and giant, mother-____ing gargantuan ifs. Guess which this is?

I'm sorry but that is a ridiculous comment. Hadley is in the side and playing better senior football than Bentick ever has.
Now that is total crap. I am happy with Hadley but if I had his PR man I would be the next US president (I was born on July 4, that would be all he needed). Last week Hadley had 12 effective disposals, AB with half his game time had 11 !! Are you forgetting AB finished 8th in our B&F and 6th in AFL tackles w/o playing every game.
When there was a midfield vacancy cause Gibbs was injured Bentick came straight in. He's gone straight out now Gibbs is back.
I said that would happen in my AB report but with Bannister out I thought he could easily have stayed in the mix unless Browne is a gun. Maybe I have gone over the top if Browne has only come in to play down back but I see Browney on the interchange myself (that they have named him in BP makes it more likely IMO)
That fact that Bentick is playing good footy in the VFL doesn't mean he's the right choice to play CHF or BP ie where the other vacancies are this week.
Seeing as though we are doing a high school debate - I can tell you the judges are not going to give you any points for repeating yourself and stating the obvious LOL
As for trading him, where? How many guys not wanted in the Blues midfield over the last 5 years have got a game anywhere on an AFL list?
You dont think anyone would have been interested in AB? You must have a problem with this kid if you really believe that. How many 21yo midfielders have we delisted ?
The fact that guys playing good footy at VFL level can't automatically get a game in the seniors is a good thing. Perhaps we are finally starting to get a sembelance of depth.
Are you using the 'stating the obvious' trick again But in this case AB got a game (a ridiculous amount of time mind you) - did ok and has now been replaced on the interchange by a kid who would not get a game before him with the Bullants.
