Browne has never ever contributed anything and never will.

Don't be quick to judge his onfield stuff with his off field stuff. I don't know him personally but from all reports he has high charisma and probably has a lot of friends at the club. I would still have gotten rid of him personally, simply because I care mostly about on field stuff...... but yeah. I can certainly understand why the club kept him THIS year. The last few years not so much.

Browne fit and healthy apparently... Good for him. :thumbsu:

IT will be a fit and healthy Andrew Browne who starts Fremantle pre-season training on Monday.
"This year will be my first pre-season since 2004 that I'll have gone into fully fit and healthy, rather than spending it recovering and doing rehab,'' said the injury-plagued 24-year-old, recruited at pick 52 in the 2001 AFL National Draft.

Browne - who has played just 27 games since - earned a one-year contract extension after the Dockers picked him for five of the last eight matches in 2008.

"I've been keeping fit since the season finished doing a lot of running and weights and trying to get a head start,'' he said.

"I've come to realise with my body I can't afford to sit on my bum if I want to stay fit and durable. I'm going to embrace the new programs and hopefully a bit of luck will come my way.''

Browne credited his new-found zest to Fremantle's newly appointed sports science trio of Jason Weber, Darren Burgess and Chris Spinks, who are revamping the club's conditioning program.

good to hear, if anyone needs a bit of luck, and to be up and running for pre-season, it is browney

There's also an article on Steven Armstrong's fight to get drafted in the Sunday Times. I would have preferred us to draft Armstrong as injury cover than retain Browne, who looked very average in the games he played late in the year.

Good luck to Browney though.

The truth is I have called him as my Buddy for 2009.

The faith I have showed him has obviously touched him at a spiritual level.

Once my heeling hooves have done their thing ......look out.

hmmm, browney hasnt been west cokeafied though.... that has to count for something ;)

I agree dom. I think his re-signing could have been thought through better. His quality when he did get a game was pretty ordinary. But if the fitness guys think they can get him out on the ground then that is good news.

Oh... really. Try less booze too. Hilarious the mindset of these so called athletes.

Seems like the new fitness guys are doing something good down there, changing up some players bad habits. This might be the kickstart our middle-teir players need to make the next step. Going to be interesting seeing mundy/mijo/browne/thornton/schammer next year.

At least we're out on the track in relatively good shape. Hopefully a fresh perpsective to training, combined with a zero-tolerance from Harvey will pay dividends next year.

Down at Carltank, everyone's favourite alco Fev is on a 3 day bender... glad to see that the mindset of our guys is completely different...
