When the tigers go through a rough patch like last year, don't go looking for Brown to get you out of it. Browny will want to improve his leadership skills as he has a tendency of dropping his head when things are not going right for him or the team, siliar to Richo!

Well if 20 odd posessions and a goal is a BOG performance for a richmond side then it looks like he made the right move.
You see Brown doesn't very ofter get the hard ball, just watch the tape, and he likes to look flashy. The bulldogs don't need that, they need quality players like johnno, bubba, westy who get it when it counts and someone to present themselves up forward and take a strong mark. He didnt want to work hard and lead a crop of youngsters into a new wave so he wanted out. You'll find that the real reason was, he didn't want to do all the extra promo work for the bulldogs that we need to survive.

Good luck to Judas at Tigerland.
Happy with Rawlings and Street as compensation and of course the new guy wearing number 17.
I really think this judas bit is a little extreme. Players leave clubs for various reasons. Is rawlings a traitor too? What about Brad Hardy? Brown gave the bullies great service and just felt he wanted to move on. He played some great games for you and kicked a lot of goals so just say thanks for the memories and get on with it.

just curious

Of all the players over the years to leave a club high & dry in search of success How many of them attained it.

I can think of a few clubs that had a player leave and to later reach the ultimate success maybe they are a destabilizing influence anyway.

I couldn't be bothered booing him. To tell the truth it made me feel sick. On the one hand because he played so well. And on the other hand because of the total disloyalty he displayed. Remember this is not a desirable character trait. If he's done it once before, it only gets easier in future.

Totally Agree....It made me sick also. The credit that was given to him and his BOG performance. The press heralded his courage when he collided with Bubba... If you look at the incident in slo mo, you will see he looked up and saw him coming preparing himself for the collision. The disappointing thing was that he never displayed that committment when he played with us... If he showed a quarter of the courage that Robbo, Westy, Johnno or Bubba diplays week in week out, he may have had more of a go in the middle. It's amazing what a fat paycheque can make a shallow person do.... Let's face it, Brown was the last legacy of another self-consumed, wealth driven, disloyal individual who left the club high and dry before the last round of 2002!!! Good riddance to both!!!

I wouldnt put it past him, plenty of players will come and go, brown will never be a voss or buckley, just another player who had so much potential and believed their own publicity. BOG my arse,

Papers this morning are saying that he'll play a gay character in the show (never seen it, won't as long as there's a chance of seeing Eddie). Anyway, good to see the casting people have summed up Judus' personality and have found the exact part he can play without any acting skills.

Now if they made his part a disloyal unemployed gay drug addict he could just walk straight into the part.

Just out of curiosity, is he gay?

Well he writes poetry, likes facials, wears beanies on 30 deg days and sips dozens of "lattes".
Probably more the new age metrosexual than homo.
However, I'm sure if he met a guy like that was exactly like himself, he'd be willing to change sides again.

Brown - time to move on?

Time to move on folks?

Brown will probably have a good year, and the Tigers may well have one too.

We know he can play.

So why flog ourselves with this?

As for Wrennyboy, anyone else catch his fascinating thread on the main board re which girl should he go out with in his class?

Just a silly little schoolboy.

I'll just say one more thing.

Doggies fans - just let Brown go. He's not worth hating, booing and being talked about as much as he is. In other words, stuff him.

Tigers fans - just be gracious and stop gloating about landing him. We all know that if someone like Mark Coughlan went to Carlton or something similar you'd all be feeling the same way that Dogs fans do about Brown. Be happy you got him and move on.
