What a joke. The umps and judd must circle jerk each other frequently.

But as others at stated, had no one to take the votes away from him compared to a couple of other more deserving winners.

I'm sure if the side you're in gets smashed, there are other people to take votes from you.

Don't worry Chris. You will soon get the gist when you hear me and thousands of pies supporters booing your brownlow medal win on your lap before the game. I'll be booing the loudest, you wont get a single clap from me because A) you of all players do not deserve it and should have been rubbed out and B) you were not anywhere near the best player for the year.

This sentiment is shared by plenty more people than just pies supporters.

I am gutted, Swan looked gutted and Collignwood should be gutted and angry. But at the end of the day a GF medallion will make up for everything.

Absolute BS.

Hang on a minute. I could have sworn swanny said today he doesn't care about individual awards? Make up your mind.

Last time i'll be watching the brownlow, or anything with Judd in it. I just want to shoot his head off right now.

Sorry to Swan, Ablett, Pendles, Hayes, Boyd, Hodge, Goddard.
Judd wasnt even considered.

Judd deserves to win only because the system of voting only compares the player to the rest of the players on the field in that game.

I propose that at the end of each game the umpires vote 3-2-1 on BOG, sending them off to an independent panel. The panel then counts the votes, and at the end of the round will have 8 BOG's. Those 8 then have their games reviewed by the panel, and a 3-2-1 vote is done. The player with the most votes from the panel wins.

Mind you i only just came up with this then.

I thought Twigley spoke well about Cousins, Kerr and Cox.

Judd in 2010 joins the likes of

2008 Adam Cooney (should have been Ablett)
2006 Adam Goodes (should have been Judd)
2004 Chris Judd (Should have been Tredrea or Riewoldt)
2003 Adam Goodes
2000 Shane Woewodin (Should have been McLeod or Koutafidies)
1998 Robert Harvey (Should have been Wayne Carey)
1995 Paul Kelly (Should have been Gary Ablett)
1993 Gavin Wanganeen ( Should have been Gary Ablett)
1992 Scott Wynd (Should have been Jason Dunstall)
1990 Tony Liberatore (Should have been Darren Milane or Tony Shaw)

with farcial brownlow wins.

Glad I didn't watch it this year. Sounds excruciating. Just seems to get worse every year. Drawn-out over-rated wankfest. Never rated AFL umpires and not in the least bit surprised they got it wrong again. And the less said about Andy, the better.

the Daily Telegraph, not who won the brownlow, rather...

I found this when i googled judd brownlow odds

Someone will be happy

The love for Swan also extends to him leading by Round 11, with $1500 at $21 and $500 at $16. Chris Judd attracted a bet of $2000 at $15.

Great interview by judd - knew he got a bit lucky with the votes, knew he got a bit lucky with the elbow on pav, still knew he had a great year, and spoke upfront and honestly about the unwarranted dicklicking that footy stars get when thrust into the limelight, yet acknowledging that such attention gives people like himself the opportunity to do some good things.

Mature speech which gained more respect from me than the actual brownlow itself :thumbsu:

ablett was suspended in 93. so he couldn't have won it

2007 - should have been ablett (though bartel, like a lot of those winners, still had a quality year)

Question: came in part way through a speech and thought I heard that old legend (the one who had a womens clothing line?) say something about '****s' - something along the lines of 'he might like ****s....'.

did i hear correctly??

Take a look at the Age expert's Brownlow predictions below.

12 "experts" no mention of Judd.

There is something wrong with that for mine. I almost feel sorry for Judd in some ways and I think he handled it very well, but he didnt deserve it, and another player was robbed of an award they deserved. That's where this is wrong.

Again.... needs to be looked at
