-1987 John Platten {tied} (Hawthorn) - lost to Carlton by 33pts
-1989 Paul Couch (Geelong) - lost to Hawthorn by 6 points
-1997 Robert Harvey (St.Kilda) - lost to Adelaide by 31pts
-2000 SHANE WOEWODIN (MELBOURNE) - ????????????????
So the records say its nine each way, but recent history from the 70's onwards when the pressure of winning a brownlow and its public expectations have shown its a great deal harder to win both.
After the seventies its 2 to win both and 6 the other way.
I personally dont reckon it will make a difference on the team, maybe only Shane himself, but well done to him, we'll see what happens.
worthy winner, am im glad kouta or buckley didnt win
