Guys just going through the AFL Brownlow betting and some prices caught my eye.

501/1 - Luke McPharlin being a defender may count against him , but can go forward and kick bags. Has missed the 1st half of the season in the last 2 but walked in without missing a beat , when he came back in 2002 was the leading contested mark taker from that point on.

others who have caught the eye are

Nathan Brown Richmondat 67/1
Cameron Ling Geelong at 61/1
Adam Simpson Kangas at 101/1
and this guy if he can stay out of the book Chad Cornes at 201/1

Cornes? pls.
Dont waste ur money, none of those players u have mentioned except maybe Brown if he plays a majority of his time in the midfield is a good long shot.

when i put muney on hank he was 17/1 :D

Travis Johnstone at $201 is a bargain.

The umpires love him.

Regardless of what the umpires think of him, he'd still need to get a kick, something he hasn't done lately.

Backed Robert Murphy eachies at 400 to 1. He is now into 300's.
Still a bargain. Get on.

How many back pockets have won the Brownlow?

And yes, i know the Doggies say he will move to the midfield, i just don't believe it.

He ain't playing back pocket as it is, he is an attacking back flanker

Not in the games i saw.

Spent plenty of time playing a genuine defensive role, rather than playing as the attacking flanker that you mention.

Last look I had was Ben Haynes at 1000/1

Dont waste ur money pazza, he hasnt even sealed his spot in the side for sure yet. I really cant see anyone from Essendon as a long shot for the Brownlow. I'd say Ramanauskas who I thought could win it last year would be a good chance but I dont know how well he will recover.

Word is Dave is that Rama will play in Darwin against Freo, so according to that, I'd say he seems to fully recovered.

yeah i know, bloody great news for Rama and Essendon, I'll check his odds and see how I go. Ive always seen him as the next future star player for Essendon since 2000 where I thought he was abit stiff not to win the rising star award.

With the odds mentioned throughout this thread, Daniel Kerr is worthy of a few dollars.

Good odds for Ling, too. However, can't see him winning it, but he'll poll reasonably well.

I feel Kerr's odds aren't as good as they look, even though he is a great player, he only polled 4 votes in last years brownlow.

3Jarrad Schofield $501.00
