Re: Adelaide - Most Votes (Brownlow 2009)

Thompson wasn't even invited to the Brownlow...it's all about our young guns this year :thumbsu:
I think Bernard will come flying home and easily get the most polls for us.
Really, our best vote getter last year and another solid season, doesn't get an invite? I'm confused.

In the paper yesterday it said Goody, Tippett, Porplyzia and Vince were going.

The phantom brownlow on the AFL site has Goodwin as our leading vote getting with 11 and Porpy with 10.

I'm liking Thommo to out-poll Cooney, Boomer, Jobe, Bartel and Deledio @ 3.75.
And Vince to out-poll Rich, Aker, Hasleby, A. Selwood and Hodge @ 1.95.

Good article in The Age today about Bernie and his brownlow chances!! :thumbsu:

This was a really good article. It is very rare, the best player wins the Brownlow. Hopefully Ablett wins, because he is one of the best and most deserving. However would be great to see Vince Poll well :thumbsu:

:D That is way too clever to ever make the Advertiser, way to go Age:thumbsu:

The Advertiser is written for the mass proportion of Adelaide residents...does not say alot about Adelaide :D I still love Adelaide though :thumbsu:

Bernie is also listed in both the Age & Herald Sun's formguide to the brownlow - the player's most likely to win and their chances of polling for each round!!

HERALD SUN:

THE AGE

Getting excited now!! All the best Bernie!!
My tip is Leigh Montagna (i'm a bit biased though, his grandfather is my neighbour so I would love to see him win it)!!

1st, 2nd, 3rd ..??

Oh ok.

As a rough smoky Boyd might get 3rd.

Cannot see Brown getting 1st, 2nd or 3rd so IMO on that bet your money is gone.

I doubt Nick Riewoldt will win it all as history suggest it’s not a KPP medal and KPP struggle to get enough votes but he may snag a place. So i guess you should have had him for a place bet and you may have got a return.

If Vince, McKay and VB have a combined total that is enough to win, i'm claiming it as a win to Bernie. Spoke to a mate of mine who lives in Melb and he said the only humour they could find about the result were the horde of Collingwood suporters that reckoned Vince got 50 touches and 'brought his own ****ing ball to the game' ...... he didn't have the heart to tell them it was McKay running off HB. I can't see how the umpires couldn't balls it up.

Cant believe its not live!

Channel 7 disgrace! Why cant they show it live on their HD network.

Who wants to watch the Red Carpet special, then Highway Patrol!:thumbsd:
