As requested..........please be kind

paddy you might not have combed your hair till it was just right, but you commanded the night brigade tonight.

As I heard Sir Alex Ferguson say recently in an hour long interview say about praising his players, you don't need superlatives, you only 2 words - well done. Well done paddy. :thumbsu::thumbsu::thumbsu:

Does anyone know how the front standing allocation will work?

I remember something about a 2pm ballot for last March?????

I don't think there was any ballot. There wasn't one for Brisbane two shows and wasn't for Sydney's three. I was in the pit for Brisbane 1 and Sydney 3 and didn't have a ballot and spoke to people in the line up in Sydney 3 that had been to the other three shows I wasn't in the pit and they didn't have to sit in a ballot.

Cruyff14 can tell you about the Melbourne and HR shows.

What the deal with the line up is, is that they have a roll call at 9am, 12noon, 3pm. You can go away from the area but have to be back at roll call or you lose your spot.

And how do you find this information out?

And is it an advantage to be there at 9am?

Read this thread. PM ManWithNoName he is going to every show including the first one in Perth and watch Greasy Lake website and their The Circuit message board at

http://www.greasylake.org/the-circuit/index.php?/forum/9-the-circuit-bruce-springsteen/

They don't advertise it so the real hard core fans find out and get a chance to get the best spots. He feeds off us nut cases.

Some people like the Italian couple that went to every show would line up from around 11pm the night before the show. For Brisbane I got there at 4-30 and missed the line up, didn't know about it until checked Bigfooty at about 2pm, but was to the right of stage in front of Tom and was 3 deep and was about 5m from Bruce when he walk along the stage bit that poked out into the crowd.

I got to Sydney line up at 2-30. Was a bit crook and missed the 12noon cut off. I got # 145 - I think 192 made it by 4pm which was the adjusted cut off time. I ended up right in the middle of the stage bit that pokes out and was 3 deep. I just missed strumming Bruce's guitar but helped him with the last 3m of crowd surfing to get back on stage.

Cruyff14 got there early a few times I'm sure he can fill you in. I think he got in the 30's once.

I was in the pit for HR1; there was no ballot. There was for HR2 because of all the (justified) complaints about the yanks running the show.

They better not pull that shit out at Auckland, considering camping outside the stadium between shows.

The Yanks are fine running it, it was that ****** Graham......

Who is Graham and what did he do to stuff it up? The Yanks running it I met at Sydney 3 were pretty good and to me did a good job, which was backed up by a couple of people I spoke to the line-up who had been in the line-up for the previous 4 shows.

Bruce once sang, I ain't gonna play Sun City. I wonder if that will change? When Stevie left the band in 1984 he did many projects. One of the was to set up Artists United Against Apartheid. In 1985 he wrote and produced the song Sun City protesting about the white's only ultra expensive gaming resort where musicians from around the world would come and perform to the wealthy whites, Las Vegas style. He got about 50 artists to sing/play instruments in the song. Bruce and Clarence were 2 of them.

It followed The Specials - (Free) Nelson Mandela 1984 song and the passage of new racist constitution in South Africa 1984, condemnation by the UN security council in 1984 and the call for economic sanctions against them. All these factors helped lead to the imposition of economic sanctions - of vary degree - in 1986 by USA, EC, Japan, Australia , Canada etc. The UK and Switzerland were notable exceptions.

Hopefully Nelson will still be around to see the Boss and Little Stevie have finally made it to South Africa. He wont go to the show, but he might get a visit from the band.
