^ I'm approaching 40 next year and it was touch and go if I'd make it to his gig this year but I did and I cannot wait for February. If I ever have the good fortune of getting married then I'd want that played at the reception.

And Max, no words needed for his performance.

So atm the Sunday night that I am going to isn't sold out and has been the case for the past 6 weeks.

Say that it remains the case, does the GA come forward or do we have space to booga loo?

And what separates the Pit from GA?

Security and a fence?

They'd just leave the GA barriers where they are from the Saturday night.

Separating the front GA from the back GA is a strip of fencing/barrier with space in the middle for Bruce to run through at some stage. Security patrols in between.

Still looking for tips re: my GA vs front row seated for Adelaide 2... I have front GA for Adelaide night 1, which I will definitely use. But for night 2 I have a front GA, but also a front row CENTRE floor seat. Keen for feedback on what the seated is like... I'm keen to stand regardless but it'd be nice to have space and a seat for the occasional sit, or piss, for night 2. However if it's all shitty with everyone sitting like it's the movies then I will use the GA.

If people told me to sit down, I sure as Hell wouldn't be listening in the slightest.

Hmmm, so if I got the shits up and couldn't be front of stage, I could stand up on the back corner of the Pit and give him my NMFC cap as he passes by? ;)

You have your number, you can leave and come back (people around you are very understanding and the number thing works a treat). Won't need to leave during the show anyway. Trust me.

That's my position in the Pit is it?

Like I don't have to wear an adult nappy?;)

Well if I am anywhere around this platform on Feb 16 I will.....I just will....

Its World Series time.

Bruce for last year's Major League Baseball Season, allowed the Turner Broadcasting Service to use Land of Hope and Dreams as part of their promo for the post season. It was nominated for some sort of sports emmy.

In early 1995 Bruce called the band back together again to record a few songs in NY to put on the new Greatest Hits album. The band was together for only a week or so and the cameras were rolling and in early 1996 they released the Blood Brothers video/dvd.

A few days after the sessions, Molly Meldrum interviewed Bruce about the sessions and his career going back to the early 1970's. Molly was told by Bruce's management that he only had 15 minutes, but Molly being Molly kept asking questions, not your normal ones, it was obvious Molly was a fan and really knew his stuff and Bruce let him go on. He ended up interviewing him for 90 minutes. At the end Bruce's management were pissed off and told him that he couldn't use more than the agreed 15 minutes, so it never came out.

In November 2006 I visited a Bruce fan who had over 100 videos on his personal You Tube video. It contained the interview in 9 or 10 parts each 10 minutes or less and he had only put them up a few weeks earlier. I sent the links to Ford Fairlane but with in 2 months they were no longer on the channel. I'm sure Bruce's management had pulled the pin on them.

Anyway I was looking for them the other day and discovered that the interview is on google as one large 90 minute video. I don't know if you can embed google videos but you can watch the whole doco at the link below and I have copied the notes to the video that do a better job than I did to sum up what happen with Molly. My respect for Molly increased markedly after I watched it. As the summary below says "If any interview could be described as essential, then 1995 Molly Meldrum Interview is it."

The video is non existent on the net these days but a transcript of the full interview exists.

Was looking at Incident on 57th Street from Hanging Rock late last night and decided to read the comments.

One guy posted this is the best live version Nassau Coliseum 29 December 1980. A very "crisp" recording. One of the comments under this video was

this is acknowedged as the best live recording of "incident" complete with extended outro , you will listed to no better !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!, it is available on cd , look for it ,it's worth it

And he suggested this version as well 10/23/99, Staple Arena, LA. I can't find the individual song but found the whole show. Incident is at 1:30:50.

Incident on 57th at HR was as close to a religious experience I will ever get....

Yeah of all the stuff I saw in 1997+2003+2013 that has to be the highlight. Rosalita at the SCG in 2003 after all the power failures was special but being 100m from stage it wasn't as magical. But he transfixed the audience with Incident on 57th at HR 2.

I got all emotional as soon as I saw him grab the Incident sign at HR2, which came after a couple of false alarms at RLA when the song on the other side of the the sign was played (Candy's Room was one of them). An absolutely magical moment with my brother, sister and myself lined up beside each leaning on on the barrier, all fighting back the tears.

It's just a great, great song.
