Considering you hadn't seen him at all when you started this thread you have done pretty well I would say.

Have a great one tonight.
Definitely, did very well. Still sad though. It was very tough saying goodbye to all the friends I've made over the years, and over the last week. Was quite emotional.

-------
Last night's show was pretty good, though I thought there would be more variety. Saint, Flood, Janey, Kitty and Backstreets were all meant to be played.

Bobby Jean definitely brought on the waterworks.

Tomorrow is my last time....maybe.

I still hold out hope.

The lure of the $$$$$.

He was the highest grossing Tour of 2016...which is outstanding for someone at their peak in 1985.

So in the end it was...

Once in 1997
Once in 2003
Once in 2014
Twice in 2017
Have a look at the top 5 or 10 or 20 list and its dominated by acts that were big in the 70's and 80's, be it total revenue, revenue per show or highest average ticket prices.

He will play Who'll Stop The Rain if it's raining etc.

I can't see him coming back until at least 2020, and he will be 71.

Garry, Nils, Steve and Jake all have their own solo stuff to come out and will tour with that.

It may be his final farewell, too.
Unfortunately I think you are right and I doubt we will see him back here again with the E Street band with 4 others from the 70s and Nils from the 80's version. It wouldn't surprise me if he does a solo tour like in 1997 sometime in the future, playing at 3k-5k type venues. I saw the first show of the tour in Brisbane, think it was 2 there and 5 in each of Sydney and Melbourne, and whilst basically a 2 hour acoustic show with some great songs, it lacked the punch of a band show..

1. The Promised Land (solo acoustic)
2. American Land
3. Out in the Street
4. Badlands
5. Two Hearts
6. Grown’ Up (sign request)
7. Blinded by the Light (sign request)
8. Spirit in the Night
9. I’m Goin’ Down
10. Hungry Heart (sign request)
11. Wrecking Ball
12. The River
13. Youngstown
14. Johnny 99
15. Working on the Highway
16. Glory Days
17. Because the Night
18. The Rising
19. Rosalita (Come Out Tonight)
20. Jungleland

Encore:
21. Born to Run
22. Dancing in the Dark
23. Tenth Avenue Freeze-Out
24. Shout
25. Bobby Jean
26. Thunder Road (solo acoustic)

Wonderful set!

Thanks for the heads up mate. The half hour difference means I will catch the start.
It's a new one too. Don't recall ever seeing it anywhere.

I doubt I will watch it all, got it set to record, and it's going to be crappy tmw, so I will watch it tomorrow.

He speaks so incredibly well.

He is one of those rare musicians I could listen to talk for hours.

Eddie from Pearl Jam is similar in that regard.

The fact they are both legends doesn't hurt.

14 to 26 were exceptional.

Because the night was magical.
