Did you watch the vid of Rosie? VERY, VERY fun!As Obama once said he is the President but Bruce is The Boss.
Great set Cruyff14. He should do a 24 hour concert and play everything. If anyone could, Bruce could.Come to think of it will 24 hours cover it?

My copy of 'Bruce' arrived today too. I still have to finish the otherbook though.
Up to the fourth chapter in that. Very good read so far. There is a great anecdote about 100 pages in where he has to play Saint to a record exec. Really enjoyed that.Just about to and have ordered my copy of The Promise of Rock n Roll.![]()
Did you watch the vid of Rosie? VERY, VERY fun!
When he is dancing during the "papa says he knows that I don't have any money" lines sums up that whole song for me. Fun, and not having a worry in the world about ANYTHING.Watched it and you nailed it with your comments about the joy and the fun.
What also gets me is the timelessness of The Boss's catalogue. I can just as easily imagine an audience of teenage undergrads singing along to Rosie with Bruce as I could a bunch of 60yos. No matter your age, you've lived The Boss's lyrics.
I enjoy singing a Bruce song or two in the shower before work. Sorry for the imagery, but we are sharing.
Just for a change of pace here's my top ten countdown of Bruce songs for belting out in the shower.
10. The River - need to be feeling a bit melancholy at the start of the day
9. Dancing in the Dark - bit poppy but gets your feet moving to start the day
8. Darlington County - just a good old boy good time song, driving out of Darlington County I seen the glory of the coming of the Lord, driving out of Darlington County seen Wayne handcuffed to the bumper of a state troopers Ford
7. Badlands - take that attitude to work
6. Cadillac Ranch - for the mornings you love a bit of rockabilly, puts a smile on your face
5. Tenth Avenue Freeze Out - I'm gonna sit back right easy and laugh, oh yeah another great attitude song to take into work
4. Hungry Heart - Great to get your day going or to finish up a set
3. Racing in the Street - a great Bruce car song, his metaphor for life
2. Thunder Road/Born to Run - have to be sung together, rock and roll perfection
1. Backstreets - One soft infested summer me and Terry became friends - oh man the power and epic lyric poetry of love and loss. Heart breaking, earth shaking, wall thumping majesty
I have to acknowledge that they are mostly old, but so am I and it's hard to remember the new stuff.![]()

Will watch in morning. Does he talk about Bruce at all? This is off topic Cruyff14 but thought you would appreciate an episode of Game Changers on another New Jersey alumni and huge Bruce fan Jon Stewart.
