Man, I'm so excited! Been waiting for this for so long! Can't stop thinking about now haha.

Is anyone doing the whole tour? Cruyff? I'd love to, but work doesnt permit.

Hmm, now the stress of getting tix! I'm going to two shows, which one do I get tix for first? I'll be risking shit seats for the other one. Decisions, decisions!

Do we know if the floor will be seated? Hate havin to get there hours in advance for a good spot!
I'd like too but $$$ is the only factor. I am going back to Europe next year so I need to keep that in mind too.

The floor won't be seated, and even if it is, everybody will stand up anyway.

Looks like it's Hanging Rock for me as well.

Not a fan of outdoor shows, and it seems a fair way from civilisation. FMD. If I don't get standing pit tix I'm going to lose it

PS. All you pricks in Melbourne better snap up a **** load of tix for the Rod Laver show so there's an extra one on the 27th or 28th. Preferably the 28th. Make it happen peeps.

@Cruffy14 woohoo! This is could be the last time. I am going GA standing if this is what $212 gets me.

and how is this...go to 2.00min

You know reading the Hanging Rock gig on Frontier the weather at that time of the year is going to be the unknown factor.

I would be getting a ticket to both if you want a 100% guarantee and not just rely on an outdoor event that is at risk of cancellation due to risky weather.

Ummm....

Nothing stops Bruce mate.

And Rod Laver Arena is the better venue than fricking Ethihad....Ethihad was such a disappointment in 2003.

Saw him in 1997 at the Princess in StKilda, top level, roasted to death on a 35 degree day.

This time I am gonna get up close...it could be the last chance before I die to get up close since I bought Born in the USA all those years back as a 14 year old and caught my whole imagination.

As Tig from SOA says 'I am soooo exciteed'.!

Yeah I want pit tickets, parents aren't so keen on the idea though. Mum wouldn't be able to stand up for that long. Not sure what I will do yet.

Definitely going to both though.

Well let me know what happens and if you get in there it would be good to put a name to a face after all this time.

I will save you a spot!

I stood in the GA at U2 back in 2007 from 6pm to 11pm.

Bruce's GA is different. It's a lottery. They could choose someone in the middle of the line and they will be in the front of the pit, so the person in front of them would be at the back.

I don't want it seated so I can sit down. I just like having my spot reserved, instead of getting there 6 hours early to snag a good spot.

Platinum reserve is seated but that's the second floored area behind the pit. Better off getting Gold seats if you want a seat.

So if you get picked to be at the front of the pit, you can go have a slash, come back and be in the same position?

Is it picked on height, beauty or random?

FFS. Nothings easy anymore is it?

Random I believe.

And where are the Gold seats?
I would assume lower tier elevated seating.

Just realised with the time delay up here I'll be able to book hanging rock tix at noon 'local time' and then brisbane tix at noon 'local time' an hour later, so no worries about deciding which to go after first :)

Those ticket prices at Rod Laver are surprisingly reasonable. I paid twice that for Simon & Garfunkel.

Rod Stewart layout @ Hanging Rock for reference

And full prices (apologies if this has been posted already)

Prices:

GA Standing Front of Stage:
$211.40

Gold Reserved Seating:
$211.40

Silver Reserve Seating:
$183.90

General Admission Lawn:
$128.90

I'd guess that Rod Stewarts platinum area will be replaced with 'GA front of stage' and Silver Reserve seating maybe where Stewart has his last few rows of gold reserve?
