Had my worries around 1986-1987 as to wtf was going on...still 'Tunnel of Love' is one of my fave albums and the most underated as pple expected Born in the USA Mk II.

So in the end, what are the arrangements for Standing?

I couldnt get them for my Tuesday night show, and being a work day and 3 hour drive to get there I was actually doubting I could do it...

Time off work isn't an issue. My company has Melbourne offices that I'd be able to work in while I'm over.

$$$ is the biggest issue though. It's not that I absolutely can't afford it... it's just that $200+ for tickets, Accommodation, $$$$$$ for airfares (because the promoter was kind enough to book the shows at Easter time when airfares will skyrocket) isn't justifiable.

At the moment we're living off my income, which hurts because my wife earned way more than I do at the moment, and we're in the early stages of building a house and we've had to borrow heavily to do so, all the while juggling our existing mortgage.

So yeah, basically a shitstorm of bad timing. Easier to make a clean break now and resign myself to the fact that it just ain't gonna happen and focus on the things that I will be able to do.

Feel your pain; not the same here but finding the $$ just before Xmas has been a pain.

The way I figured it is that at 62 yrs of age and having not been here since 2003, he and the Band probably wont be back again.

Interest rates are low, borrow on your mortgage.

Life is too short to let $ wreck dreams.
 
There's night 3 Melbourne GAs available right now as of 9.40am. Go! :)

EDIT: All gone :( but they have been dropping a fair bit in the last day or so so keep an eye out!

The only concert I've had issues with taking my Point and Shoot too was Prince. But he's nuts about things like that.
 
I reckon a regular point n shoot ud be able to just stick in ur pocket and walk in. Not like they're gonna be telling every person to empty their pockets on the way in.
 
Fired off an email to Ticketek today asking where my tickets are, and there was a knock at the door 5 minutes after I pressed send. They work fast. ;)
