Stuff being on the internet during the show; I'll be paying attention to every intimate detail. I expect to be in some kind of trance-like state anyway. Then to sleep it off in the international terminal at the airport.

I predict I'll be forced to break my rule about not buying merch at gigs - TAKE MY MONEY NOW campaignerS!!! My mother still has the sweater she bought at the QEII Stadium gig in '85; I bet nothing as epic exists today.

Well Bruce has brought just a few guitars Down Under...

DrVanNostrand and JuddyBuddy are you the only guys on here going to 1st Brisbane show and in the pit? i have a pit ticket in GA11 which is on the right hand side of the stage. I assume there is a walk way between GA11 and GA4 on the left hand side.

I get into Brisbane tomorrow, staying with a mate, but on Thursday my brother inlaw his sister and nephew are coming up from the Gold Coast so I'm not sure whether to just wait for them, or get in early. What time are you guys going? What time do the doors open? Do you know how many people are in either pit area??

Pretty sure doors open at 5:30. I'll be gettin there between 1 and 2. Not sure how many in the pit. The Dr might have more of an idea, this will be my first time at the venue.

I've got seats for Thursday night so my only reason to get there early would be the beat the queues at the merch stand.

As for the floor, it's hard to tell. I've been there twice (Cold Chisel, Neil Young) and the stage is reasonably small for an entertainment centre, but a large portion of the arena is the floor. So it might be easy to get near the front, but if you're towards the side on the floor you might not see much. But then again, both bands I've seen there haven't had close to the personnel and stage set-up that Bruce will have, and would thus have a wider stage to fit everyone.

Oh, and the lobby/bar area is a dive. Not as bad as Newcastle Entertainment Centre, but it's depressing.

Thanks for the response guys. When I went to 2nd BEC show in 2003 I got seats in row D on the far right side. Got such good seat as he cancelled his outdoor QEII/QSAC concert and resheduled 2 at the BEC. The 1st one was for those who bought tickets to the outdoor show and the rest of us got a crack at the 2nd show.

But after the really quiet response at Telstra Dome were the front seats were for corporates the later shows people in the front rows were encouraged to stand and get close so I ended up right in front of Clarence maybe 10m from him. Could have hit him with a reasonable handball no worries. I want to end up like that or a bit closer.

JuddyBuddy I might see you in the line up or pit then.

Off Wrecking Ball - Wrecking Ball
Other albums - Thunder Road

If he plays Rosalita or Ramrod and I'm in the Pit in Brisbane or 3rd Sydney show I might end up on stage - especially the Ramrod Conga line. Been meaning to post these

Out of all the songs you know you're gonna hear (ones that 100% will be played), what are you most excited to hear?

Off Wrecking Ball: Rocky Ground
Others: farrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrk..... My City of Ruins

Amazing how few songs are dead certs to be played. Most major acts have 90% of their setlist set in stone for a whole tour.

I'm going to 5 shows he has to play it once. Out in the Street would be next.

I didn't really like it until I heard a live bootleg version where the full band gets involved unlike The River version.

Bootleg came out in 1985, I bought it in 1986. The show was at Wembley on 5 June 1981. Its called Born to be the Boss.

I'm going to spew if I don't hear the following songs at least once over my four shows (realistic):

Kitty's Back
Murder Incorporated
Adam Raised a Cain
Spirit in the Night
Racing in the Street
Jungleland
Lost in the Flood
Rosalita
Jack of All Trades
Radio Nowhere
Streets of Fire
Incident
Downbound Train
Bobby Jean
Atlantic City
This Depression

Unreasonable requests: Kingdom of Days, Soul Driver, Mary's Place, One Step Up, Devil's Arcade, Worlds Apart

Wrecking Ball, Badlands, Dancing in the Dark, Tenth Ave.
I can't wait to hear Wrecking Ball either when he says "When the game has been decided and we're burning down the clock, And all our little victories and glories have turned into parking lots", it will be great.

Tenth Avenue will be something special as well, especially for the Clarence tribute. I love the way the intro is built up too.

Hearing BToR for the first time will be epic too.

He generally plays two or three epics each show. Lost might be a stretch, but you're going to four shows so it's possibe.

Spirit is a certainty.

I would say out of all of those Murder Inc then Streets of Fire and This Depression are the ones you're least likely to hear. But with Bruce, anything is possible!
