Hope you guys in Melbourne get to see Seven Nights to Rock for one of the encores. Last night's version was fantastic and so much energy. It got a few lazy bums around me out of their seat. It is Bruce and the E Street band at their classic rock n' roll best. This gives you a hint of what it was like. I don't know where Little Stevie goes in this clip but he would love this song.

Edit and this one from Madrid last June ain't bad

The SMH's review in link below but I had to quote the following sentence

More importantly, the whole band rocked fiercely throughout, from its warm five-piece horn section to its soulful backing singers. Others made valuable contributions with violins, accordions and possibly, on Death to My Hometown, the kitchen sink.

Even though I said Brisbane Thursday was better than Sydney Monday, gotta say that the sound quality and sound system last night at the Superdome (insert corporate stadium sponsor name) was sensational and was a lot better than the Brisbane Entertainment Centre. My sisters friends who sat near the back on Thursday night were a bit disappointed with the sound quality at the BEC. No complaints from me last night.

Yeah but I haven't organised anything for HR2 yet as I thought I might have had to cancel to go overseas with this project I have been working on, but looks like its been delayed until late April. I will PM you in a couple of days once sort out when I get to Melbourne for a hand with getting to HR.
Yeah definitely let me know, am in the pit with the old man, more than welcome to join us!

Not really a fan of it to be honest. Would much prefer something else instead of that.

Absolutely awesome night. A bloody long day flying out of Perth at 530am, barely ate all day....knees ache, back sore, throat raw, ears still a little blocked but worth every ache & pain.

The hours of waiting went pretty quick but to be inches from the man whe he came down to our little stage I to front of Garry made it all worth it. Garry, I must say is a lot more animated than he appears in videos, he engages with the crowd pretty well.

Seeing him pull out the harmonica for Thunder Road was just beautiful.

So yeah.......I had a good time!

Good to hear! That Thunder Road vid above is just great.

Thanks will send you a PM Thursday morning.

Fair enough and yeah he has so much more he could play of his own stuff, but Seven Nights to Rock is in the same vain as the Detroit Medley he used to play as part of his standard encore in the 70's and on the River tour.

One of my signs, not fully complete, will cut around the body and whack it on a bit of cardboard

Ok so the first girl in this video who gets up on stage with bruce is one of my best friends and is the biggest Bruce springstein fan i know.

Anyone else finding the novelty of pulling fans out of the crowd is wearing a bit thin?

I mean, yeah it's great that a fan gets to meet their idol and everything and good on him for getting the crowd involved. But, I don't know, it's just so predictable now...

Compare it to this one at 4.50. ;) ...1988 wtf is going on here? LOL.

I do half expect no surrender or perhaps 'war' tomorrow night as it is the 10 yr anniversary of the Iraq war & he opened the Melbourne show of the rising tour the same day. He was pretty pissed off that night with the whole invasion.......then the crowd annoyed him! Fun Times

Absolutely shit hot

This is fun too

No way, Saturday night was way better.

Darlington County, Incident, The River, Atlantic City, Racing, LOHAD.

RussellEbertHandball, a shame you missed it Prove It, don't worry though, you're going to other shows so it's not so bad, I am jumping out of my skin with excitement. You're going to both other Sydney shows, right?

You don't know me, that's why ;)

That Adam Raised a Cain solo is absolutely awesome...surely out of 5 Melbourne gigs I'll get to see and hear that at least once...or twice.

Gasometer pic is off Google, random person.

I got another plan for that as well. It's my birthday on the third. I am going to write something like, it's my birthday next week, can we I play some air guitar on stage? :D

Love your creativity Cruyff. Better than my black texta on a white tea towel job!
My Jungleland one is even better.

I have printed off a sax and am using it as the J. The A is a map of Australia. I have printed off UNGLELND in bright yellow massive letters.

I am putting that across a large piece of cardboard with PLEASE BRUCE underneath accompanied by this picture.

You know, I think it might just work. The only problem I am going to have is the cardboard is pretty big, and it's going to be hard in the pit.

Maybe but I'm happy for my friend.
