A lot of you have been hearing that Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band will be on tour in 2012. That is absolutely correct. The European dates run from the middle of May until end of July and are being announced this week. Info on the US dates and the World tour dates will coming up shortly.

In addition, we want you to know that the music is almost done (but still untitled), we have almost settled on the release date (but not quite yet), and that we are all incredibly excited about everything that we’re planning for 2012. That’s all the info we have for right now, but we’ll get back to you–real soon.

**** YEAH!

Let's hope he comes Down Under!

And I promise Number 1 is coming!

He did not come to Perth last time. If it happens again, I will be heading over to Melbourne !!!!

Source PJ?

If he doesn't come out here I will fly to the States. I don't give a shit.

What makes me think they might come here is this: "The European dates run from the middle of May until end of July and are being announced this week. Info on the US dates and the World tour dates will coming up shortly."

European dates were announced today, what is the point of adding in "World Tour" if it was only going to be Europe and The States?

Try not to get excited, but...

MONDAY 27TH & TUESDAY 28th AUGUST – ENTERTAINMENT CENTRE, BRISBANE
FRIDAY 31ST AUGUST & SATURDAY 1ST SEPTEMBER – ROD LAVER ARENA, MELBOURNE
WEDNESDAY 5TH & THURSDAY 6TH SEPTEMBER – ALLPHONES ARENA, SYDNEY
SUNDAY 9TH SEPTEMBER – VECTOR ARENA, AUCKLAND

No source or anything with the post, so I will try and contain my excitement. If it's for real though, I'll be going Friday and Saturday!!

That is brilliant.

Logistics are an issue now though because if that is true, it will be the first week of the finals.

I am hoping that Fremantle will be in there and, if so, they could be playing anywhere in Australia that first weekend when I would want to fly over to Melbourne to see The Boss.

I have no problem with him leaving Glory Days out. It's just his reason for doing so that I don't like. Just because a song charts doesn't make it a bad song. That's just a musical pretentious, "I'm better than the general public", attitude that I hate.

See the way I look at it is that his commercial stuff is often better done stripped right back...if he did Glory Days with a guitar, by himself, the words echo more than the bombast of the original. Had Born in the USA been done along the lines of a Nebraska it would have not gone off the way that it did back in 1984-5.

Lyrically it is full of bitterness & mid life crisis...laughable all these years later that Reagan saw it as a patriotic song...

He followed that threw into Tunnel of love. When that came out everyone looked at the title and thought it was a love songs and dedications album...but who could ever forget Brilliant Disguise and the most awesome video of all?

Wasn't the last Etihad show he played a bit of a stinker? Would much prefer Laver anyway, small enough to feel intimate, but still big enough to give it that big rock show feel. He'd sell it out quite easily too.

Apparently so, yes. I have read a few reports the crowd weren't just into it at all, don't know how.

While I agree it would be intimate, he plays Stadiums 99% of the time, if he played RLA, and you missed out on tickets, how cut would you be?

It holds 15,000 so it will still have a stadium feel to it. Doubt you'd miss tix if you get in early either.

Not a massive fan of Etihad shows. Saw Pearl Jam there a few years back and while it was awesome to be there with 40-50,000 other fans (I was third row! :)) . It was still a pain in the arse standing up for about 6 hours straight (2 hours before plus warm up acts). Not that Im gonna be doing much sitting at Bruce, but it's good to have a chair there to rest your legs every now and then and a spot reserved for you if you need to go for a leak or a drink.

Dunno if he could fill Etihad anyway? Surely if there was that sort of demand here he would have been out more recently?

Hmmm. Not sure those dates stack up to me.

Why would he tour Australia during a US/European summer? It doesn't really make sense.

Australia's boom tour times are November/December and February/March due to whether/vibe. Northern hempsphere is May to August, for the same reason.

Dates could be real, but it doesn's stack up for mine. I doubt he would play those venues also.

Yeah, the longer it takes for him to post again the more suspicious I'm becoming. The guy has 1 post so it could quite likely be a troll.

I'll be stoked if it happens,i've been into his music for 25+ years so fingers crossed! I saw him in the UK in 1993 so it's been a long time between drinks.
