I could write so much more about my descriptions, now. It's a shame the video code changed. Kinda ruins the post.
I should go back and edit all the videos. This post prompted me to re-read the thread while I wait for the cricket to start.
Cruyff14 Allow me to make the following, respectful observations:
There is a factual error somewhere between 61-50
Spirit in the Night deserves more cred. Live at Barcelona version > all
Ties That Bind no. 10?
"Loathing" Kitty's Back should be a punishable by hanging. Top 5 for me.
Don't be hatin' on 57 Channels
Needs MOAR: Soul Driver, Let's Be Friends, Worlds Apart, Magic, One Step Up
Wrecking Ball and Land of Hope and Dreams made the cut pre-Wrecking Ball album. How do you rate the new studio versions compared to the previous live versions we had?
Enjoyed the read.
I am glad you have enjoyed it, genuinely makes me happy.
Which new songs have you listened to have grabbed you? And what are your favourites?

, I'd say my favourite song was Tougher Than the Rest, followed by Glory Days and Dancing in the Dark, and Rosalita, of course. And Girls In Their Summer Clothes! What is the error?

Believe it or not, I'd never heard Jungleland until a couple of hours ago
I've just bought a whole heap of stuff on iTunes, so I'm still working through most of it, but so far, I love Leah, Jungleland, Blinded by the Light, Lost in the Flood, and Incident on 57th Street. Have also had a quick listen to the Wrecking Ball album (already knew We Take Care Of Our Own) and I really like Death to My Hometown and This Depression.
Prior to the last few hours, I'd say my favourite song was Tougher Than the Rest, followed by Glory Days and Dancing in the Dark, and Rosalita, of course. And Girls In Their Summer Clothes!
Stay posted for my thoughts as my education continues, ha!
Thanks again![]()

I hope you liked my descriptions. Jungleland is beyond perfect. Everything about it is phenomenal. You're liking the epics, I'm impressed.Believe it or not, I'd never heard Jungleland until a couple of hours ago

I know you could recite this fact in your sleep, but #55 Youngstown, is on Tom Joad, not Nebraska.
Some random thoughts:
The first half of Tunnel of Love is horrific. The second half is wonderful.
I noticed that the title track from WOAD was the only one from that album. I don't rate the album at all, but Outlaw Pete and What Love Can Do get regular play from me.
City of Night is a nice, unknown song.
Gloria's Eyes is a great track from Human Touch.
I looooove The Fever from Tracks.

Really depressing to see how big this thread is compared to the Tom Waits thread.
SpringsteenWhere's the Neil Young thread?

I am a Tom Waits fan. I am a Bruce Springsteen fan and Neil Young is my favourite artist of all time. I don't think they are mutually exclusive. Given that Neil just handed Tom Waits his Rock and Roll Hall of Fame award and Neil has played live with Bruce Springsteen, I don't think he does either.
Oh wow. Spirit as Number One, wow. You are away you left out Backstreets DrVanNostrand? Glad to see I am not the only who rates Downbound Train so highly. I don't know a few of the tracks you posted, you also included a few I did not.
Where would Backstreets have been? Streets of Fire is so ****ing underrated. One of the reasons why it was a disaster.I consider it very closely related to Streets of Fire if that helps haha, they are one in the same for me. Which ones don't you know?
Downbound Train is pure bliss. So depressing on such an upbeat album. Wish it was longer.
