It seems Macedon is not as far from civilisation as I thought, roughly 40 mins from the airport according to Google Maps. I couldn't care less about any other acts that come beforehand, Bruce never has opening acts so why does w***er Gudinski get to put a few on? No way am I getting there anytime before sunset.

Very angry at the world ATM.

.

Yeh nah...its a bit further on than Macedon, probably closer to Woodend and its not a four lane highway in or out of there. The biggest drama will be the traffic in and out of there, although I do see there are shuttle buses...but I dont think they will help you out either much if you are in a rush to get into the gig from Tulla.

Been to the Rock lots of times over the years. Used to live and play tennis & footy all around this area growing up.

If you're doing GA standing you wont be able to see shit getting there at that time.

Has anyone looked in to accomodation yet? **** all around already at a decent price!

A few B&B's out that way and over priced.

Might be best to try the Woodend or Kyneton Caravan Parks. Maybe Lancefield?

After reading all your posts ^^ what is the problem?

Haha, I'll be overseas from 13-27 March next year. The timing could not be more horrific. Whiny little bitch, I am. 2nd Rod Laver show is my only chance for some satisfaction.

1) What does it cost to delay an already booked overseas flight by two days? (Allowing me to make the first Brisbane show)

2) For Hanging Rock, will transport be a massive issue? I'll probably find a hostel in the city or something, it seems getting there will be okay (shuttle buses) but getting back??? Money is no issue so I might just cab it to and from the nearest train station.

Want to speculate on an Australian setlist?

No doubt we will get a couple more mainstream songs. Notice he is leaving Born in the USA off the current leg of the US tour but had it in there back in July in Norway.

1. Who'll stop the rain
2. Downbound Train
3. Cover Me
4. We Take Care of Our Own
5. Wrecking Ball
6. Death to My Hometown
7. My City of Ruins
8. City In the Night
9. Seaside Bar Song
10. This Depression
11. Atlantic City
12. Because The Night
13. The Promised Land
14. Darlington County
15. Shackled and Drawn
16. Waitin' On a Sunny Day
17. For You
18. The River
19. The Rising
20. Radio Nowhere
21. Badlands

22. I'm On Fire
23. Thunder Road
24. Born In The USA
25. Born To Run
26. Bobby Jean
27. Dancing In The Dark
28. Tenth Avenue Freeze-Out
29. Twist and Shout

I would be happy to hear songs like Downbound Train, Darlington County and Bobby Jean, but it is such an extensive catalogue, it will be interesting to see what gives way.

Anyway, wanna speculate on the set list for Australia?

Glory Days definitely. Born In the USA likely. Even though fans are a little more worldly and discerning these days, you would understand them going slightly more mainstream instead of stacking it with Americana tales. May pick a cover that Australia relates to.

I have a Barcelona DVD from 10 years ago. In Born In The USA he refers to '30 years burning down the road' instead of the original '10 years' lyric, so I expect it will be '40 years' this time around.

He also opened with BIT USA too last time he was here. Has said 40 years on this tour too.

His sets have evolved a lot since he was last here so it's hard to tell. Will probably get Thunder Road too. Would love to hear Rosie and Jungleland. Dancing In The Dark is a certainty as it's been played at every show on this tour.

So lock in ... Dancing in the Dark, Born in the USA, Glory Days, Born To Run.

Thunder Road, Darkness on the Edge of Town good chances.

I think I'm on Fire did well here so may get an airing. The Rising is a near certainty too I think. Darlington County is getting a fair run this tour so probably that too. Agree with Thunder Road. Wrecking Ball obviously.

I wonder if he will bring out stuff like Brilliant Disguise as it went over fairly well here for memory.

It's fun to speculate.

Have no problem with him doing "the hits". Probably the only time we'll get to see him for most of us, so be good to hear some of the classics.

Hanging Rock will be interesting - If he's anything like Pearl Jam he'll break out some rarities being a "unique" gig and not just another stadium show.

He will play on average 8 of the 11 Wrecking Ball songs.

The other 18 to 22 songs, depending on how he is feeling and how long he plays in Oz, will be a mixture of hits mainly from the pre 1990, with the odd ball song thrown in.

Riiiight. Signed up to the Frontier mailing list for the pre-sale of Wednesday. Noon local time means 11am Queensland time (I think). Three laptops side by side, refreshing every 10 secs from 10:55 :thumbsu:

You can add Waitin' on a Sunny Day to the definite set as well. I'm On Fire gets plenty of airplay in Australia. I expect plenty of BITUSA songs.

Kitty, Spirit, Rocky Ground plz. This Depression, You've Got It, and Jack of All Trades would be my other ideal Wrecking Ball songs.

GA standing up the front looks a pretty big area. Will die if I'm not there.
