Lets be real about these tours...if it wasnt for the strong Aust dollar none of these big USA acts would bother to come out....Lopez...Pink doing 30 shows....I remember in the 80's and 90's when Australia was so far away and so hard to tour...funny how a recession and the $$ wakes them up ffs.

Plenty of big acts came here in the 1980's and 1990's. They just didn't tour every couple of years like US acts do jumping over the pond to Europe.

And the boss toured here when the AUD only bought $0.60USD. The exchange rate plays very little part in the whole equation. Time and distance are a bigger deterrent. The acts that can sweep across Asia, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Indonesia, Oz and NZ find it profitable to do an Asia Pacific tour.

The stronger AUD just makes it easier to balance the books for the promoter. If the AUD was still at 60 cents there would have been 3 stadium gigs. This way we will get about 8 indoor shows.

For ticketek yes, should calm down by noon though I'd imagine.

You reckon Ticketek is rubbish for sales of big events? I've used them many times and haven't had an issue.

Ticketmaster is the worst site - both in design and capability - I've seen.

Hanging Rock is going to be a fight.

Yes.

Ticketek's server is nutoriously weak, and the Ticketmaster site is just plain awful - almost makes me wish we had to deal with StubHub, etc like everyone in the US.

I don't think it would be a problem providing you are loggged in to both before the sale starts, but finish your entire transaction with one before crossing to the other. Loading screens when processing credit card payments are heart-in-mouth stuff. But if you have a decent computer, I'd say go for it.

Nah just saw it on Frontier and A Reserve is seating Pit or close Lower Tier. That makes sense. Still unsure about standing...not enough info. re entry to Pit for Melb.
