If you had to make a top 10 now though, what would be in there?I read every post but of late it has all been about tickets so nothing to really comment on.
I became a Springsteen fan in about 1984, mostly because of Dancing In the Dark and its mainstream appeal. A lady I worked with got tickets to the March 1985 show at QEII in Brisbane and offered one to me. I decided I better find out about the rest of his music and was blown away. I bought all his albums to that point and then the Live Box set when it came out. Naturally the Born In The USA album was my favourite initially and I loved DITD, BITUSA and Cover Me. In time, I preferred Glory Days, My Hometown, Bobby Jean, Darlington County, No Surrender and My Hometown.
What I loved about my concert experience is how intimate it was. Huge outdoor venue and Bruce was talking to all of us or at least it seemed so. He told stories of his youth as an introduction to his songs. I love the storytelling in songs like The River and even the more reserved stuff like Johnny 99, State Trooper, Highway Patrolman. Love Atlantic City, Badlands, Sherry Darling, Point Blank, Independence Day, Out in the Street ... sheesh practically the whole BITUSA and River albums and then there is Rosalita, Incident on 57th Street ....
You know, it's something I haven't given much thought to. There are so many songs and it really depends what you are in the mood for so is every changing.
It's only a top 10. Give me a break! No Jungleland, because the night, streets of fire, spirit in the night, dancing in the dark...?

The Rising, I can't wait to hear that. Amazing song.Tough one. For arguments sake, and these are based on my memories, how the music makes me feel, relatibility, mainstream or otherwise:
1. Badlands
2. Bobby Jean
3. No Surrender
4. Glory Days
5. Sherry Darling
6. Atlantic City
7. Out In The Street
8. Thunder Road
9. The River
10.The Rising
These things tend to change around though.
Streets of Fire wouldn't poll in many people's top 10 tbh. As good as a song it is, it's just not played enough I think for people to recognise this. Jungleland was also the glaring omission for me.No Jungleland, because the night, streets of fire, spirit in the night, dancing in the dark...?
Dancing In The Dark will be played at every show. Out In The Street is a slight chance, it'd be early in the set if it was.Ah, I can't tonight mate. Too much thougt required! Maybe tomorrow when I'm a bit more sober haha.
It's changed a lot since first joining this thread tho. Because and streets are favs atm tho, lots of raw energy in those two tracks! Dancing and out in the street have always been upbeat favorites - really hope we get to hear those at the rock!
Watching London calling 2009 atm for the first time. Good gig!
Jungleland is still good, I still like it, good to see it in HD.Haha, dunno, just slipped through the cracks somehow.
Must say - Jungleland was a little disappointing after listening to the NY version so many times. Something about his voice, made it sound a bit 'rough'.
Loved him tryin to get up the steps "Get me a ****in elevator! I'm ****in 60!" Haha, think its the first time I've heard Bruce swear.

Must.Resist.Temptation.Just hit the jackpot with a dude selling spares at face value for Melbourne and Hanging Rock shows. Anyone need a GA ticket?PM me ASAP and I'll give you his email!
