Just gonna tick over 3 hrs.

The last hour of every show must be completely insane.....I'd have been going off my nut at every show so far as the "big" songs get rolled out one by one towards the end.

Although BITUSA is nowhere near my favourite Bruce tune, it's awesome live, as are most of the songs on that album. Max's manic bashing at the end is a sight to behold.

Feel that tonight's show is maybe one epic short (even with Backstreets). Maybe LITF or Youngstown in the middle would have topped it off (save Jungleland and Incident for next week).

However, it's a great setlist by anybody's standards, with no obscure covers except for maybe Trapped (which every Bruce fan knows anyway).

Roll on Sunday..and Tuesday..and Wednesday..and Saturday..and Sunday

then a 6 week wait until The Gaslight Anthem hit our shores in May and I can go nuts again.

Egg on my face....he brings out Rosie to finish the night off.

No longer one epic short.

Sydney fans would be in raptures..thinking like me that the night is finished after Tenth

I'm gonna be a shot duck by the end of HR2. That's the gig I'm taking my parents to...I'm gonna embarrass them with my antics...nothing surer.

epic concert - epic , epic, epic. I now have seen and heard Rosalita up close and with a decent sound after the SCG power failure show I was so far away. Backstreets.... and a massive Max solo in BITUSA and Growin' Up, the intro of that the song about in the 1978 bootleg at the Roxy in LA show, is probably the single biggest reason I connected to Bruce's songs about growing up and finding your own place in life. And talking of 1978 the 4 minute intro of Bruce's guitar and the Proffessor's piano into Prove it all night. marginally better than Wednesday night - probably because of Rosie and being up front in the pit.

Was 3rd or 4th row back right up the guts, depending on what happened after the surge of crowd surfing and wanting to touch the guitar - just missed on one surge, but I got to help carry him to the stage in the Hungry Heart crowd surf.

After 10th Avenue he was in a great mood and said one more, one more song band. He pulled out some shitty sign on a blue/purple background that nobody could read. As he put it down and notice another one to the left of stage where the stage juts out. t was a beautifully done sign on a poster size sheet of paper/thin carboard. Someone has beautiful penmanship. It said something like

Rosalita
For the Spanish
.....girl from
.........Valladolid

There was a plastic red rose stuck under the a of Rosalita. So Cruyffy he just might take your sign upon stage.

There was a guy with big Bruce tats and Bruce was so impressed with his commitment, he chatted to him briefly and got the cameras to film his arms. A young guy from the Blue Mountains I met in line stood next to him and said he got invited back to the after show as Bruce wanted to talk to him. The young guy in line said Jake sent a tweet saying had a great day at Bondi he wants to buy a house there!

I have to go out so will write more on the show later but just a bit about the line up procedure, its run by a couple of Americans and its nothing official but the promoters and security acknowledge them and work with them.

2 Americans run it, had a chat to them and they now have been to 54 shows on this tour. One guy has now been to 226 Bruce shows going back to 1978.

An Italian couple lined up at 9PM Thursday night were 1 and 2. They got prime spots in the pit. to the right was a girl with 5, and to the left was one of the other organisers with 16. Behind him was his buddy of the 226 shows who was 32, so even tough they organise it they respect the whole process and don't jump the queue.

Spoke to a lot of people in the line and looks like upto 9am about 70 people had rocked up. I got there at 2-40 and got 145. Was a bit crook so didn't go for the 12noon count/cut off but if I did would have got around 100 and marginally better position. If you get in top 50 you will get a rail if you want it, but will have to go to the side. If you are prepared to go wide on the side then the guy behind me at 146 and the girl who had been to every show but this was her last and was 147, both got a rail wide on the left hand side.

Spoke to the Italian couple at the bar after the show. They are going to all 10 shows and have been in the pit every show. With my bad Italian and there ok English we chatted for about 5 minutes in the line for a drink. Cruyffy if you meet them tell them your a mate of the guy in Sydney who explained to the girl that in Australia the best chance of getting carbonated water is to ask for natural mineral water or mineral sparkling water. She was disappointed she couldn't find any in Oz.

Met a bloke in the line who is going to 9 shows. A family commitment means he misses RL 1.

The guy behind me who just missed out of the wrist band and number said that there is some guy on the net who links into ticketek, ticket master and others inc ebay and says what a fair price is as scalping tickets come down and more are released by the ticket companies. Said he paid $250 for Pit tickets for Wednesday night and last night from this guy so a premium of only $30. At the time I thought it didn't effect me so I forgot to ask him what the website is call, but on the train thought of Ford Fairlane and others on here who might want to upgrade.

Have been doing a spreadsheet of songs.

He has played 63 songs so far if you count The Way You Do the Things You Do and 634-5789 as 2 songs, which Greasy Lake does. I have missed out on 5 from Brisbane 2, + American Land because I was late on Monday. Which other band covers 53 different songs in 5 shows.

The 10 songs at all 5 shows are Wrecking Ball, Shackled and Draw and Death to my Hometown +
Badlands, BTR, My City of Ruins, Tenth Avenue, Ghost of tom Joad, Dancing in the Dark and Waitin' on a Sunny Day.

More later.....
