That Italian couple in Sydney getting there 9PM on Thursday night for the Friday show in Sydney are probably inspiring people. I meet several people in the Friday line up that said they were going to shows in Melbourne and were well aware of the Italian couple getting there so early.

Cruyff14 replied to my PM as I was killing time in Sydney airport tonight and said he was going to get there at 11PM.

This was the picture one of Bruce's crew took on Friday night about half an hour before Bruce came on stage. The do it every night.

To give you an idea of where you might end up. Starting at the front right of microphone. The guy in black with the hat is #16 and one of the organisers, the guy in black with thumb up is the Italian guy #2, his female partner #1 is obscured by the microphone. The girl in white with 2 hands up was #5. Can't remember what number the guy in black, left of her with the small Buffalo Gals sign was. I'm directly behind him. Behind him and slightly left - guy in red was 107 or 109 I'm on his right and directly behind the guy in black t-shirt holding that small sign face obscured and I was # 145 and guy to right and in front of me was in the line near me as it snaked around and was in the 70's.

The guy in white on the right hand side of the stage has a blonde girl in white to the right of him and smiling at the camera. She was #63.

People forget how many people can actually fit along a front barrier. All the way along you'd get 100 easy. Go back 10 rows, which is realistically about 5 metres, that's 1000 people. Not too hard to get a great spot even by rocking up at 3pm, let alone 6am!

This is prolly the best image I have seen of any concert.

The joy and excitement on the faces of the crowd says it all.

You don't get a bad spot if you are in the pit. But if you want to be on the rail near the centre, or in the centre so you can get a touch or hand shake from the great man, or strum his guitar then you have to be there by midday. Get there by 3pm or 4pm as the cutt off was for the last Sydney show and you get a wide rail spot or 2nd line deep out wide. Unfortunately if you are short and want to get close, on or near the rail and not be obscured, then getting there before midday is advisable to get an unobstructed view and not get stuck behind a ruckman.

If you miss the cut off you still get a good spot just that it isn't as orderly. It almost like we were cattle being lined up and ordered around but it protected the integrity of the line and it guaranteed that if you got there real early you were protected to get a good spot. One you go thru the gate/scanner they orderly let us into the pit. For those that were "locked" out i guess it was people could have barged there way thru to a closer spot.

Cruyff14 and I arrived at about 11.30am. Half the surrounding streets were closed for some fun run, GGGGRRRRR, made things such a pain in the arse! Got our numbers - 118 and 119. Had a roll call at 1pm, next one is at 4pm. I've quickly come home to hang out my washing, lol. Next roll call is at 4pm. Eeeeeekkk I'm so excited!!!! :D

Must be an interesting conversation b/w you.

"So jpkennedy do you think he will like my poster?"

"Well yes Cruyff14 I think so?"

Or do you shorten it to '14' and 'jp'?

;)
