I always thought Pearl Jam would always remain my favourite live act. Until I went to Hanging Rock yesterday :) Amazing, mind-blowing show. He's a genius

Easy now mate. Big call.

Actually, I think they are both probably on par. PJ and Bruce both set the bar ridiculously high and are what any young band should aspire to. The variety in set lists, length of shows, crowd interactions. They both give everything and more in terms of what you expect from a live show.

1. Adam Raised a Cain
2. Candy's Room
3. She's The One
4. Something In The Night
5. We Take Care of Our Own
6. Wrecking Ball
7. Death To My Hometown
8. Hungry Heart
9. Spirit In The Night
10. The E Street Shuffle
11. Incident on 57th Street (request)

That's apparently the opening songs, according to Greasy Lake. Some very different song choices!

I was on the barrier right in front of Tom. Had the old man with me, who is 60, and he lasted the day okay.

Left during 10th. Belted out Rosie on the way back to the car and stood there playing air guitar to Twist and Shout after that.

Incident was magical. Just truly magical. A guy, Phil, I mentioned earlier in the thread, who somebody said he knew the words to every song, was so stoked to get it. He was crying throughout for the most part. Just magical. Glad to say I have seen that live. All I really missed was Backstreets and Racing.

This show was great. Adam > Candy > She's The One > Something In The Night was crazy.

You left during 10th? I thought you were hardcore man.
Was with dad and I know people who were stuck in the car park for two hours. He's 60 and it is nearly an hour to get back home.

I watched 10th from outside the pit, same with Rosie and heard Twist and Shout on the way back to the car.

What a ride!

1st time I've been lucky enough to see the great man. Wow, that was something special. Loved every minute of it. Hanging Rock was a great venue for an outdoor concert too.

Most of you here probably don't know who Ali Clarke is, local media 'identity' and wife of former crows ruckman Matt Clarke.

She has a weekly column which I generally ignore, but saw a picture of The Boss so had a peek. She was railing about friends of hers who had to cough up $150 for a ticket to the Hanging Rock concert for a 3 month old baby. Now fair enough, that sounds ludicrous to me (mind you who would take a baby to a concert), but then she goes on to blame Springsteen for it, sure she makes some reference to the promoter but the insinuation is it's The Boss's fault. I realise when you're a blade of grass banging up against tall poppies is acceptable in Australia. I mean, seriously, how ridiculous do you have to be before you aren't allowed to present your views publicly in mainstream media? Red bandana? What is this, 1984? Maybe in Adelaide. Thanks Ali.

Daylight robbery for baby's dance in the dark

Does anyone not see the irony of a bloke who's made squillions off singing Born in the USA turning away someone who's just been born?
What sort of world are we in that this is OK - that even the smallest of beings are seen as nothing more than a chance for a cash grab and people are so keen to toe the red-tape line that common sense can't intervene?
Surely a man of the people, if fully aware of this, would be beating his promoter over the head with his red bandana.

It's taken a lot of coffee, bacon and chocolate to get me up and about this morning (afternoon), but I'm finally able to talk type.

HOLY heck, BEST WEEK OF MY ENTIRE LIFE.

She's the One went off, one of my favourite songs, so fun to jump around and dance to :hearts: Something in the Night was gorgeous. Wrecking Ball always gets me so fired up, at first it's just Bruce and Soozie, then the band joins in on that heavy opening chord...super stuff. The key change in Death to My Hometown gets me every time, love it, such a great song. I never liked Hungry Heart much (Iain's mouth is on the floor as he's reading this) but it's totally grown on me this tour. So cool live! No crowd surfing at all last night though, poor Bruce must have been groped one time too many I dare say! Spirit, jesus, how good is Spirit live? Bruce just gets SO into it, it's inspiring. E Street Shuffle followed by Incident, truly epic stuff. Cried again during Tougher than the Rest, so so so SO happy to get it again! I don't care what people say about Jimmy murdering it, I loved it! Just to hear it live was amazing. Such a privilege to hear my favourite song by my favourite artist live :hearts: . Epicness continued with Because the Night, Christ, what a good song. Another one that's grown on me this tour. Open All Night and Darlington County were heaps of fun, I was dancing like a maniac there. Promised Land was sensational, then Bruce did probably my favourite version of The Rising I've heard on this tour. Then of course, The Ghost of Tom Joad, you guys know that'll always be a highlight for me. One of the best guitarists in the world going nuts on stage, right in front of my eyes. No words. Christ, I love Morello! Badlands, awesome. Born to Run, awesome. Rosie, awesome!

Took me bloody ages to get out of the car park then I went about half an hour in the wrong fvcking direction (typical woman, no sense of direction). Made it to the Park Hyatt where I found I'd missed meeting Tom by about half an hour  :( but I was still super excited to meet this dude...

In summary - best time of my life, and I am strongly considering selling up and just becoming a Bruce groupie. And Jake liked the photo on Instagram. Win!

Why are they taking a three month old to a Springsteen show?

New first time parents that swore black and blue during the pregnancy that havin a baby wasn't going to change their lifestyle.

And to keep thread on topic, Bruce went off last night, and I'm only a very casual fan but enjoyed the band immensely.

There were plenty of people crying during Incident...including myself and my sister standing beside me. The screenshots panned across the barriers at front of the pit and every second person was wiping the tears from their eyes. Magical moment. I saw him grab the sign with Incident on one side and Frankie on the back and was just so rapt when I finally got to hear it live.

I don't like you anymore, you met Jake. Go away.
Imagine if it was Bruce! Some guys caught him on the stairs, he didn't come to the bar at all. Tom was only there for a little while. Jake was there for hours! I met Cindy the backup singer too - she was so, SO nice, they were both very gracious and lovely. If only I had my wits about me I would have been there in time to meet Tom! Ah well. Can't complain, can I? :D

Damn you. Hate you! lol

And not sure what you meant re: Hungry Heart? Not that much of a fan. I mean it's fun, but I much prefer Out In The Street.
