Errrr, so there's another show either today or tomorrow....right? RIGHT!!?

Which Euro joint is the cheapest to get to? Seems to be a handy run of shows in the UK towards the end of the next Europe leg...

And this is how you get people in the palm of your hand. And I saw it all from the front row.

:thumbsu: :thumbsu: Getting my shit together and writing a review, and this gets a big mention. On my drive back to Adelaide yesterday, I couldn't get Spanish Johnny and Puerto Rican Jane out of my head.

He had me in the palm of his hand well before that.....from the opening bar of Out in the Street last Sunday week at RLA 1 actually.

This version was outstanding. I sung along with gusto, with the lady beside me complimenting me on my vocals, which was nice.

Great vid. Did you take it?

Nah, but that user has a heap of great vids well worth checking out!

Listening to the Hammersmith '75 show in class at the moment, best Flood and BTR ever.

Oh how lucky I was to get Spirit at 3/4 of my shows, and Flood at the other :thumbsu:. I advised the girl from NZ I spoke to at HR2 to get hold of the Barcelona DVD purely for that version of Spirit. She was another Jungleland freak; I didn't have the heart to mention it got a run on Wednesday night.

I wonder if this is any good (as if it wouldn't be): https://itunes.apple.com/us/album/its-on-ep/id434190658?ign-mpt=uo=4

There would have been even more, but I lost my Bootleg DVDs. I blame my wife :)

Do you have the Roxy in LA 7/7/1978 show in your collection? - "for all you bootleggers out there, roll your tapes" and the band plays Paradise by the "C". On the Live 1975-85 CD set they cut that bit out.

Not part of the CDs I sent across... but I've got it on my computer.

Great gig - still not as great as the 19-9-78 Passaic show in NJ. Still the best concert I've ever heard.

I had a guy the other night try to tell me the tour here in 97 wasn't the Joad tour. He was insistent that he was out here on a tour not related to any album as he said he got a t shirt that CD "Open All Night" I showed him the Bruce app and he said it was wrong.

Idiot.

I'd like to hear that then. Will send you a PM as I have lost my tape of the Roxy when I moved from Brisbane to Sydney in 2005.

Bob Murphy's article from last Friday mixing footy and the boss. Like it all but the last 2 paragraphs resonate

http://www.theage.com.au/afl/afl-news/lyrics-echo-football-dreaming-20130327-2guis.html

Springsteen says of his own live performance that, ''You are trying to create something that isn't there, but once you count in 1, 2 … 1, 2, 3, 4, you create a world with the audience''.

Out at Footscray, we're gathering the pack for our launch against the red-hot Brisbane Lions. When I hear the first siren, I'll be counting in, ''1, 2 … 1, 2, 3, 4''!

Top of my list of those special "one time only" tunes that I did get to see.

Also loved Seeds, Long Walk Home & Better Days

Sad that I missed Backstreets ...but Incident nearly made up for it.
I was talking to one of the American's just before. Said out of the Aussie shows HR2 was in the top 3, but after Sunny Day they lost the intensity. Said it needed something like Racing or Backstreets. If only, hey.

Oh Flood was out of this world. In my top 3 songs I saw on the tour I think.

Flood at RL3 definitely stands out for me. Hmm, seeing Tom Joad for the first time in Brisbane was right up there. Spirit from HR2 (mostly because I got to get my hands all over Bruce), Youngstown at RL3, Adam at HR2, If I Should Fall Behind at HR1, Jack of All Trades at Bris1 (Morello magic that wasn't seen for the rest of the tour), Jungleland at RL3... plenty of memories that will be with me for a long time. Very difficult to pick just one. Not to mention getting all up in the energy of DITD and 10th Av. multiple times.

The Apollo Medley on night one was great, wonder why they didn't do it again. Very happy to have had Trades all to my selfish self, however. :)

**** just lost a long post!!!!

Gonna post this short one. When he was playing Tenth Avenue on Sunday night I was hoping for one more song and I was thinking if its an Aussie song, then it should be the Seekers The Carnival is Over, because that's what the last 3 weeks has felt like a big magnificent carnival that has come to an end and left us with a big gap in our life.

Ric Birch wanted them to do it for the closing ceremony of the Sydney Olympics, but the Paralympics director of cermonies beat him to it and it closed the Paralympics and it closed a great month of sport and a celebration of the human spirit.

I think a lot of the words can be seen as metaphors for our thoughts from us the fans to Bruce and from him to his fans. This is just Judith Durham with the Rockwiz band from a few years ago rather than the 1967 Seekers full band version.
