And the ABC had a story about it and linked this You Tube video

Bruce Springsteen has shown that his famous stamina runs in the family, with his 90-year-old mother delighting fans at one of his shows by showing off her dance moves. Springsteen was playing a sold-out show at New York's Madison Square Garden on Monday night when he pointed out his mother Adele dancing in a nearby section.

Videos posted online by fans showed the rockstar, still rocking out to an extended jam of Ramrod from his classic 1980 album The River, walking through the crowd while playing his guitar to find her. Springsteen danced face-to-face with his mother, then the pair turned around to shake their rear's for the cameras. "She's still got the moves!" Springsteen shouted, after kissing her and running back on stage. Springsteen, 66, is known to have a close relationship with his mother even though he had strained ties with his father as he grew up in New Jersey.

Springsteen has said that his mother, who worked as a secretary, took out a loan for his 16th birthday so he could buy the $60 Kent guitar on which he launched his career. "The Boss," known for his tales of working-class life in America, is legendary for his energy in concerts which often run for hours without a letup in his enthusiasm.

I wonder how soon into the tour he got bored doing it?
Yeah, unsure. It definitely wasn't a tour aimed at the hardcore fans (but then again, what tour is?).

But odd to play 30 odd shows and play it EVERY night. I get he is promoting the boxset etc, but a bizarre choice IMO. A show heavily featuring River songs mixed with the regulars/rarities etc would have done the job even better IMO.

My guess is they got bored of it early on but felt committed to doing it for the shows they said they would.
