So is SOS is metaphorically doing to Adelaide what he did to Carey and Ablett in '95 final series.

Scragging, pulling their jumper, squeezing their balls .......
If SOS plays this trade period like he did the '95 finals series, by Christ we are in for ride the next few days.

Some Cows fans getting a bit antsy ala a little kid who try as he might, isn't getting his way.
When the news first dropped, they strutted on here all cocky, saying things like 'We ll get him, and you ll take whatever we offer'
Now, post Face palmed by SOS, they re sooking it up big time.
'Well, we didn't want him that much anyway' lol

Its funny to watch.

Gold Coast lose big time in that trade.
Depends what they do with it. Lose 8, pick up 13. They've got 4 and will probably end up with 6. Gives them some flexibility to then deal with Brisbane.

Eg. 4 and 13 for 3 and Hanley.
Draft with 3.
Pay for Bowes with 6 when Brisbane bid at 4.

Net result is SPS (3), Bowes (6) and Hanley, Lyons, Everitt and Graham. Plus whichever players they can pick up with their myriad second and third rounders.

GO YOU CROW BOYS
I have a 19 month old son and have amazing support from family from both sides. Raising a child without a good support network around would be ridiculously hard. Unless you have a child of your own, you wouldn't understand how hard it is. It's not as simple as hiring a nanny. Even if I could afford it, there is no way in hell I would let my son be looked after by anyone other than a family member. I can understand why he wants to go home.
I get it. Canadian wife. First child whilst living in london. We came to Adelaide to get some support. But not evryone is here, can be very tough at times.

Clearly its been a significant, and unexpected, challenge for them. He always loved being in melb and at carlton. It pissed me off for years ;)

So is it fair to say the general feeling is its that simple? Someone on our board dropped a thought if postpartum depression might be involved. Hope not but its that level of significance that would make more sense to me.

If its more significant than just - we want to be close to grandparents - how would that impact negotiations?

If it were more serious, I think that
1. We would have known about it and not have been so surprised, and
2. Adelaide would have been more respectful in their dealings

We could always offer them a player on the fringe of our best 22 (ala Lyons) to go along with Gibbs in exchange for their two first rounders. They could sell it to their fans that they've paid 1 first round for each.
What about Gibbs & Buckley for the 2 first rounders?

I know that won't happen but would depend on what Adelaide need and whether they may have a need for Buckley.

Easy to understand Adelaide offering up the #13 and next years second for Gibbs but that may not do, so something like #13 and a pick that may sit in the middle of what may be next years first and second, could do it.
That would be about borderline for both parties and could get it done, if that was feasible....which it isn't.... but could Buckley push us up a few extra spots to get next years second?

Gibbs to Adelaide for Player, Pick 13 + 2017 early 2nd rounder. That's where I think it'll end up.
Crows can't trade away a future early second rounder. They can trade away a future second rounder only. Do we think that is likely to be early?

Considering I don't run BigFooty and am not responsible for the software, you may consider posing your question on the suggestions board. Chief will respond.
It completely undermines your ability to moderate the person if you can't contact them. It's the right call.
