Gibbs would've helped them be more competitive early and perhaps had them closer at halftime, but ultimately their team was full of players who didn't stand up. Gibbs alone wouldn't have made the difference. For sure though, the Crows need to decide whether they're gonnna bank picks for the future, or throw their hat in the ring trade wise and have a shot at a flag now.

lol at the Carlton supporters coming in here to pour salt into the Crows wounds
Yep :D

I mean, I'd honestly hope none of us actually think Gibbs is worth 8 goals difference. That's ridiculous. And this shouldn't change Adelaide fans being happy they didn't giving up 2 first rounders (he's not worth that to them) and it doesn't change us being happy we didn't give him for up less (he's not worth less to us).

But it's hilarious nonetheless.

As much as it's gonna be hilarious watching this thread blow up over the next few days I still don't think Gibbs would've been the difference between winning and losing the grand final. I actually don't think Dangerfield, Fyfe or Kennedy would be either.

The 2017 Tigers are playing a style perfect for finals, similar to the Swans. High pressure, physical, contested footy. The Crows are more of a skillful team with great ball movement. They look awesome when they're on top but they can be shut completely out of a game by a team like Richmond. Don't see how having Gibbs would change this.

Obviously I believe a player like Gibbs would make them a much stronger team but I think their playing list is already strong enough, they need to play a style more like the Tigers in September.

That said, it is gonna be ******* hilarious watching this thread blow up :D
To be fair, Hawthorn won three premierships being a skilful side with great ball movement. Just sayin.

It's the closest involvement they've had in late September action for years. They've been waiting since the qualifying, it was inevitable.
I done told you Crows cant play the MCG this year. Its almost like you guys needed good ball movement out of the defensive 50 today... Wonder if Gibbs couldve helped with that.

What if, huh?

Ah no buddy.Betts is a star and I for one still love watching him play, spewing the crows lost and he couldn't get a medal. And the gws have the best fringe players in the league. If I'm not mistaken don't you have treloar,Adams and Hoskins Elliott.Microphone down!
