Thats fine we have 77.000 members compared to carlton's 45,000 and next year will get to 90,000 we can afford to microwave 10,000 memberships, Looks like your making sh!t up again seems to be what you do

You had Mick Malthous as your idol and was going to take you to a premiership - Hows that going for you

Richmond Tigers Premiers 2017 -
I'm glad that you've finally learnt to eat em alive instead of eating your own at tiger land, but what are you doing in the Gibbs thread?

It's way too quiet on this front. Clubs obviously dealing behind the scenes. Petroro is a pro and has good relations with CFC. He will get his client to AFC who learnt from their mistake last year.

First Crows poster I've seen admitt that there's a chance Adelaide could have handled the trade slightly better.

No doubt. First year for Reid, was asked a direct question and he answered it. Rookie error and got SOS offside. Had a good history of trades before last year; Curnow, Sauce, Betts, Wright, Kerridge, Menzel.

Agree. Prior to Reid's effort, Blues and Crows have generally done business fairly amicably. Although you guys tend to win out.

Wow, Bryce is worth 49 points a game. Why are you guys so bad then?
This is one of the most ill-thought out arguments ever.
He doesn't need to make up 49 points. That was the FINAL score WITHOUT Gibbs! Things would have been different if he had played. I'm not saying he would have won the game for you - that's impossible to say either way.
I saw another Crows supporter say 'Gibbs won't make up 30 contested possessions'. Apart from the misconception that winning the contested possession count improves your chances of winning (I've found there's more correlation between teams winning uncontested counts and winning, but not always the case), he really only needs to get 15 contested possessions. That's 15 less that Richmond then get, and there's your 30 touches (he's got 13+ contested in 22 out of his past 100 games). He's also had numerous games where he gets 25+ touches and kicks 2+ goals. Good for half a dozen i50s. Had 5+ clearances in 14 out of 22 games this year and same with 5+ tackles. All of this can add to changing the final score.

So while I don't agree with the Carlton supporters that claim you lost the flag by not getting him, he also doesn't need to get 30 contested touches and kick 8.1 to win it.

I said at the time that Reid was unprofessional to announce in in the press before anything had been agreed. Also, SOS behaved equally badly.

Fortunately this year I hear they are talking behind closed doors, which should have been done last year... so there is hope all parties, including Gibbs may end up happier this year.

How did SOS behave badly? He set the price he wanted for a contracted player day one. Crows thought he would fold and dicked around all trade period with offers well short of what was asked and held up other trades.

Lesson learnt, if the price is too high from your valuation walk away.

SOS' behaviour at the meetings was unprofessional.

You would have to be biased to think otherwise & that only 1 party behaved badly.

Set the price and didn't budge. Had a contracted, required player and was under no obligation to trade. Was upfront from day 1. How is that unprofessional?

How he conducted himself at the meetings.

Any way this is old news, as they are discussing it professionally now behind closed doors.

Please tell how SOS was unprofessional at meetings where he had no obligation to deal with the Crows? I am interested to know how I am biased to think that SOS was a professional and Reid was an amateur. You have made a big statement that you seem to be backing away from.

He stormed out of meetings. Hardly professional.

Got an offer, set the price, came back to negotiate and got offered a worse deal. Crows were wasting his time. Meeting lasted 5 minutes. So SOS is the unprofessional one? SOS had deals to make and Reid/Roo were just wasting his time on the view that he would have to fold. SOS got the deals he wanted done despite the distraction.

If idiots are wasting your time you walk out on them.

So only 1 side was wasting the others time?

If you can't see there was fault on both sides, you are obviously biased.

Good for you that you have perfect SOS...
