Sauce you threw out the door, saying he was your 4th best ruckman. Shame he was actually your best by a mile.
Betts you had the chance to pay up for, and refused to.

Both of those are 100% carltons fault. End of story. Nothing to do with Adelaide 'screwing you over'
We had incompetent ****turds in charge of making those decisions.

Not the case anymore.

You guys were chasing Betts and effectively poached him for nothing. We should've been given more for Sauce.

You hold no bargaining power in the Gibbs trade.

I just don't understand the reasoning here. You guys don't want to give up good picks or players but want to bring in a talented player like Gibbs.

He will go for overs or he will stay with us.

DangerSloane, you are incredibly antagonistic

you're not the only one, granted, but for some reason your posts stick out like dog's balls....

stop the chest puffing
And this is it really, all getting too wound up and taking offence at offers. I very much doubt Carlton will be grabbing Lever, Crouch etc in a deal for Gibbs. The whole point of Adelaide landing him is to push them into premiership contention, taking out best 22 players doesn't really help that.

Carlton really want low picks and lots of them, I'd guess we are looking at a first and second, either this year or next.

He will be worth what Adelaide is willing to trade him for. No more, no less.
You can't directly compare the Mitchell trade with the proposed Gibbs trades. As plenty of others have brought up, Gibbs is contracted. Doesnt make him worth more, but Mitchell being un-contracted means Sydney had to take what the Hawks were willing to offer.

Sorry to be bearer of bad news but Stephen Trigg is probably the most incompetent administrator in the game. And a wanker to boot.

Using other trades to determine ones value is such a flawed argument.

For example: L. Henderson (Pick 16), C. Yarran (Pick 19), J. Melksham (Pick 25), T.Bell (Pick 21)

Gibbs is light-years beyond these players in ability and experience. But its not a fair baseline on players worth.
The number of years left is also a factor along with the quality of the player.

This kind of sarcasm reminds me of the Richmond supporters last year when they thought they were getting Yarran for pick 33 or a 3rd rounder
This smug attitude reminds me of when Carlton supporters thought they would get our first rounder for a player we didn't want
