You have to give up a good young mid and first round. I wouldn't mid if you gave Tom Doodee instead of Wayne Milera
You haven't heard of Wigg?
You want a good young mid. He is currently our best young mid. Look at SANFL results this year. Will play seniors for us this year and impress if not traded. Now is the time.

It will be 13 and McGovern. No doubt days of posturing to come, but reckon that's where it will end up
I wouldn't do it for McGovern on his own so it won't be that +13

If it came to that we would back off and go get Rockliff off Brisbane's hands much cheaper

No problems backing out of this one if necessary but we will do our best to get it done

Wait until we finally play Carlton at home !!!! If Gibbs makes the move let's see if the AFL is consistent and has double up fixture like they have since tippo and danger left

Would love to play Carlton twice next year
If the Gibbs trade happens, wouldn't surprise me R2 next year away vs Carlton.

Apparently as per social media

Gibbs remaining at Carlton
IMO Carlton are deliberately testing Justin Reid's resolve knowing he's inexperienced in leading a club in trade period and with no David Noble around anymore

They are tying to see if he will crack and sending Pyke over on day 1 probably said it all

Given we are an experienced footy manager down at the moment it's a good tactic by Carlton - fair play

No doubt Reid is in close contact with Roo throughout and he's used to tough negotiations in his management days

The word is that Blues have cut all talks

Gibbs is contracted. I don't care if it's a piece of paper nowadays or not. A contract is a contract and if Carlton say he is a reqd player, well tuff titties mate. You play at Carlton next year. Unless Adelaide are prepared to pay overs which it doesn't seem they are right now.

But my question is this. Who was it that got into Gibbs' ear and said a trade can be done this year? His manager? the Crows? His imagination?
Boy have they got it wrong. Who ever it is.
It is turning into a farce at a rapid rate.

What is Gibbs worth and what is fair to both clubs?

There will be no backing out.

Your captain committed to Gibbs.

Gibbs nominated the next day. He will be in the tri-colours next year.

Just waiting to see the particulars of the trade now is all.

Doesn't look like this is getting done now, Carlton are pissed off at Adelaide and are essentially only willing to talk to them when they start offering overs and Adelaide thought they could poach another player of us for nothing so the two won't meet.

It's not happening.

I have no idea. I ain't no expert on these issues and will never profess to be. The fact that Carlton and Adelaide are not communicating indicates to me this has turned into a farce. Adelaide better come up with something that Carlton can't say no to, or everyone walks away.
Maybe some egos need to be swallowed on both sides.
