Interesting that Greenwood also copped some strong feedback after the Lions game (it's in a paywalled Advertiser article).
Did we come into this season thinking things were just going to happen? Seems to be a lot of questioning the efforts of players going on.
Stark contrast between Gibbs and Jenkins' reactions to their omissions.
CEY is a serial joggeragree to disagree on the 1%ers. It's one of the things I think we have always been poor at. I can't remember the last sheppard I saw (other than Brad who was everywhere last week).
Add to that defensive running. There was a great example of Gaff in the 3rd last week who took a mark inside our F50, kicked wide to the wing, then ran at 75% into their F50, past about 3 of our players jogging back (Atkins, CEY, Seed). Gaff was then in the play again and set up a goal. CEY only started running hard at him once Gaff was 25m ahead of him, and almost had the ball. If any of those guys ran hard defensively on that occasion, they would have stopped a goal.

Hence why he gets 1 year deals and isn't living up to his abilitiesCEY is a serial jogger
Did you mean learning to play ..?Maybe he has been concentrating on playing...
Because they are human and being told you aren't playing in the pinnacle of their competition isn't going to make you happy? Is it just me, or does anyone else feel like players don't know enough about their performance? Why would they be so angry when they're told they've been omitted if they also knew their performance problems? Why would they need to have robust discussions with the coach to go through why they're being dropped and what they need to improve? It just doesn't feel like we're communicating performance expectations on a week to week basis.

I'd also suggest there's an element of "oh, but I was trying to..."Because they are human and being told you aren't playing in the pinnacle of their competition isn't going to make you happy?
I'd suggest 99% of sportspeople would react the same?
here's a free obviously fake conspiracy theory for those who are inclined towards such things:Interesting that Greenwood also copped some strong feedback after the Lions game (it's in a paywalled Advertiser article).

It definately has a soap opera feel to it.I’m a bit over our senior players getting dropped and then talking to the media about hard private conversations they’ve had with the coach.
How about shutting the **** up and earning back your spot.
It's just you. They sit down with their line coaches every Monday and review their tapes. They know.Is it just me, or does anyone else feel like players don't know enough about their performance? Agreed. Don't seem to find these kind of interviews coming out of Hawthorn or Geelong. Is this because we're a two horse town?I’m a bit over our senior players getting dropped and then talking to the media about hard private conversations they’ve had with the coach.

Yes. But also guys like Roughead aren't seemingly as entitled.Agreed. Don't seem to find these kind of interviews coming out of Hawthorn or Geelong. Is this because we're a two horse town?

Pretty fair assessment considering poor or not enough feedback was 1 of Jackson Edward's grievancesIs it just me, or does anyone else feel like players don't know enough about their performance? Why would they be so angry when they're told they've been omitted if they also knew their performance problems? I still have nightmares about last year's game in Darwin where we were running in quicksand chasing Melbourne (hardly the quickest spread team). Makes me think I'd want runners like Atkins/Mackay/Knight/Ned rather than overload with Gibbs/CEY types.
Maybe we build them up into prima donas.Yes. But also guys like Roughead aren't seemingly as entitled.

The fact he's getting games is an indictment on our list.Hence why he gets 1 year deals and isn't living up to his abilities
