I wouldn't got that far. Gov would have left regardless.
Eh? What I meant was I don't think SOS would've come after Gov at all if not to get some petty revenge after us coming for Gibbs.
He's completely unnecessary to them but they paid through the nose for him in terms of salary.
Recruiting Gov was textbook tit for tat pissing contest stuff. It probably did sate the bloodlust of Carlton nuffies after the loss of Gibbs and maybe distracted a bit from failing to secure any gun midfielders. But aside from those tactical short term concerns, strategically it was a huge waste of resources and another reason SOS should be sacked.

How do you even go about getting money from bikies for gambling?
Do they have a hotline you can call? Or do you just rock up at their club house and ask for cash?
Well hypothetically, if your family happened to own a business that was heavily associated with bikies like ooh I dunno, a tattoo shop for instance, that may provide a direct link to such a group of individuals.
Hmmmm, if the rumours are true, I find the secrecy disappointing. We live in an age when illness (particularly mental illness) is becoming more openly discussed. 3 in 4 Australians with a gambling problem also face the challenge of depression. ‘Closing shop’ and allowing the media to speculate and the public to work into a misguided frenzy will likely be detrimental to the root cause of the issue.

Ross Gibbs has a tattoo shop?
Surely that would be up to Gibbs how much is made public?
All i know is that in the second half last week whatever external issues there might be didn't stop gibbs from shutting down one of the premier mids in the comp. I would have thought whatever issues there are this week were there last week too..bad call to drop him imoI don’t know, but I can speculate that there would be contractual clauses relating to this issue - particularly if it was an issue at Carlton, too. Also, it wouldn’t be solely up to Gibbs, as it would also be up to the club and manager.
My point is - there’s a high possibility that mental health issues are entwined with this. Just say that he’s a week-to-week prospect given he’s fighting a mental health battle.

The conversation isn’t about Gibbs. It’s about the player who had bikies turn up to training. Anyone who thinks bikies turned up to West Lakes is seriously reaching.
Depends, if he has a gambling debt I don't see why bikies would be involved. Plenty of legal ways for a bloke earning 600K to waste money gamblingThe rumour was stated on Footy Classified. As to its authenticity is another issue altogether.
I dont believe its a Vic Club because as I said before, the media would have been well all over it. That leaves the non-Vic Clubs.
I wouldnt think its an unreasonable action for bikies to take.

Can confirm that bikies did NOT turn up to Crows training. That rumour is not about Gibbs. The conversation isn’t about Gibbs. It’s about the player who had bikies turn up to training. Anyone who thinks bikies turned up to West Lakes is seriously reaching.
Nah hes always the first guy in, and the first one thrown off.Mackay is a great exponent of the 2nd man in tackle thing

We miss him dearly.Carlton had been interested in McGovern for a while. They put a pretty big contract offer to him in 2017, and had some interest earlier on.
You don't pay the money they did for a tit for tat pissing contest. SOS wanted McGovern badly, and I can't blame them, McGovern if properly utilised is a damn good forward.
