It's looking bloody grim for Bryce at Adelaide and in general really...

His only way out would be at Port if he is still needing to be in Adelaide. You'd think the Crows would also need to pay some of his salary for the Power (or anyone) to be interested; given the contract he was given when signed. Adelaide are unlikely to want to pay the salary of a Port player and you'd think would be reticent to cough him up to anyone given the big cost of getting him into the club and the likely return that anyone would be willing to give and absorb that contract.

Is too good and on far too much money to be used as depth, but where to now? Strange one.

What did Carlton turn the Gibbs trade into player wise?
Carlton trade:

Bryce Gibbs
Pick 77
Future Second Round Pick (Carlton)
Future Third Round Pick (Carlton)

Adelaide trade:

Pick 10
Pick 16
Future Second Round Pick (Adelaide)
Pick 73

Carlton picked up Lochie O'Brien with pick 10. They traded pick 16 to the Bulldogs (who got Ed Richards) in exchange for pick 28 (traded to GWS for Matthew Kennedy), pick 30 (Tom De Koning) and a future second round pick, which was part of the Mitch McGovern deal the following year.

A 30 year old who can't stay in the Senior side on a lot of coin. A bad enough bet, but you wouldn't gamble further with his well known off-field issues being kept out of the media if he went elsewhere. Some players may lose going for those poor odds, but any club doing that might as well give all their money to dodgy bookies, it's quicker and doesn't cost a list spot.

I reckon he might be in line to do a Travis Boak next year.

Every year somebody who looks like they're on the way down, or completely cooked, bounces back to near career best form.
Gut feel is it'll be Bryce Gibbs next year.

I would consider him up on the GC for the next 2 years, we need midfield depth really bad, and he is a decent ball user. However, would want Adelaide to cover some of his wages.

He may want to fight it out at the Crows but he would easily be in the 22 for us.

Yeah he’s not going anywhere. No club will take him on with his issues even if he was a delisted free agent and would take a rookie contract. Port wouldn’t touch him with a ten foot pole. Crows are stuck with him.

Very sad. Bryce has been a good footballer, but never a great one. Can’t see him breaking back in to Crows best 22. Can’t see him moving clubs.

Finished at 31. The move to Adelaide has not been a good one for him.

Would be keen for a trade along the lines of
Dogs Give pick 25 and 40
Crows give pick 20 and 29 aswell as Gibbs + his massive salary
