You wouldnt want Raines or Polo on him becasue Gibbs will be destroyed. Great viewing that would be. Wouldn't be destroyed if we playued one of our top markers on him since Carlton has, well nobody of any quality on their list

If i were you i'd be more worried about Deledio raking in the possesions, Simmonds trashing you in the ruck, Raines firing the kicks from half back, and Richo kicking 10 goals.

You're always so angry and bitter, but I admire your enthusiasm. I think Gibbs will play mostly on the HF flank initially as he adjusts. From memory he kicked about 6 goals in an SANFL match last year from the HF flank. He's pushing 190cm and is very good overhead, and is a brilliant long kick. Will be an interesting battle between him and Raines I think. Not expecting too much from Bryce so early, but he is a little unique in that he's already played 2 years of senior footy and is still only 17yo.

Probably a bit too early for a pre-match discussion I guess. But just comparing the talent on both lists, the Tiges just ain't close. The advantage you guys do have, is that you have a lot more experience and better older players like Richo and Brown. Even Simmonds did OK last year. We just don't have that depth in experience, which will no doubt cost us on many occasions.

raines is likely to play more midfield this year though so we might not see him playing on gibbs. he would be more likely to line up on a more experienced player anyway.

On topic, I think player character is VERY important for the culture of the club. Richmond have recently been picking quality blokes instead of complete tools (Lids... Riewoldt over Sellar... picking JON, Patto, Bling and Polo etc)

TW is building a team based on character, skill and speed.

I really agree. Blues supporters have only posted here because of some bizarre attenpt by a Richmond supporter to slander the character of a talented 17yo Carlton player, yet to play a senior game. I just couldn't imagine anyone on the Carlton Board starting a thread focusing on a Richmond player. Talent envy is the only motive here.
