i wouldnt care if you did threads dissing every player on richmonds list and the entire coaching staff, runners, bootstudders, cotorie groups, past players and players wives and their pets. i dont go on your board and dont plan to. it was not an attempt to slander, it was an attempt to get blues supporters to come on our board and liven things up abit, which it did. but i stand by my words, this guy actually did say that about gibbs, and he didnt even know that i was interested in football when he said it. if i really wanted to be an idiot about it i would have posted it on the carlton board. i never said he wasnt talented, all i said is that someone i know said he is up himself, or at least that he was when he was at school. otherwise i think i said that i love to hate carlton players, and what is wrong with that? start a thread saying deledio is up himself, see if i care - he might well be.

The advantage you guys do have, is that you have a lot more experience and better older players like Richo and Brown. Even Simmonds did OK last year. We just don't have that depth in experience, which will no doubt cost us on many occasions. :)

You'll still need to hang around the bottom for a while before you can match our young talent, we are at least 2 or 3 years ahead of you mate. :)
 
jay schulz is a tosser, does that mean we dont like him? he worked at the oak at richmond when he was first drafted (dish pig) and spent most of his time hitting onto the much older very ordinary staff and managers there. and man, did he think he was the ********!

If we have been waiting for another superstar,in the calbre of Nathan Buckley,james hird or chriss judd,Bryce Gibbs has been touted as that,in the next 3-4 years,he will be the next superstar.For years scouts have been watching this kid's progress and more than 2 years ago he was touted as the next elite athlete,with silky skills.His progress through the junior ranks has been mentioned quite frequently,way before last year's superdraft.At Afl level this kid is going to be a gun once he settles in.The folks in Adelaide know his potential,that's why both Adelaide and Port have been itching to get him.Quite possibly this, could happen once his tenure at Carlton has expired.But knowing the blues they will throw everything at him to keep him at carlton,once they see this kid blossom to a superstar,but i have heard they he may get homesick and want to return to adelaide one day.Good luck blues.

Yes you are ahead, but unfortunately going nowhere. Do not have a list capable of playing finals. So while you 9th around, Carlton will go from the bottom, to mid bottom, to finals to flags. My take a few years, but the youngsters we have accumulated will win premierships, not just 9th around.

Enjoying watching Gibbs tear it up for 15 years.

Give him a few years in Melbourne, and the only swap he would ever make would be to an Essendon or a Collingwood throwing 5 mill, 5 year contracts. Who would want to go back to Adelaide after experiencing Melb. All 17 y/o kids are capable of becoming homesick. But 20 year old young men, playing in the heartland of AFL football are very unlikely to want to re slum it.

Thats probably one of the funniest things ive ever seen.

Our youngsters are not only more developed, but are better. You dont have to have a team full of number 1 draft picks, your statement about our young list is irrelevant. It is easily one of the most skillful in the league atm. Not only that, but our senior players are just plain more skillful than yours. As has been proven the last 2 years where we have just plain handed it out to you.

If anybody is going to 9th around, it will be Carlton, Richmond will move into Top 8 contention next year, with flag contention only 2 or 3 years away.
 
dont bag the carlton kids some of them look good you need to have a look at squibs like lappin, stevens and scotland who somehow end up with 30 possesions a game and have about 5 inside 50's between them

Really not sure why Tiges fans are so obsessed by Bryce Gibbs. Anyway, thought I'd let you know his pre-season is very going well. Should be a useful sort of player I suspect. Kicking skills seem OK. Hopefully he plays a game or 2 over the next few years. :)
