Yeah, Gibbs was ok tonight, but he's no Wiggins!

Actually wouldn't have thought gibbsy had that many touches tonight. Didn't stand out as much as Murph for mine. Pretty solid start all round though...
 
I thought Gibbs played really well. Not only did he have a tagging job on Cousins (which i think he did really well) but also got lots of ball around the ground. Will be a star!

the stuid doubts over his courage based solely on one incident when he was 18 must be well and truly put to bed after tonight's performance. the courage he displayed tonight was incredible. oh and he didn't have a bad game either.
 
Did some good things tonight with out being amazing. Didn't do too many things wrong and still looks to have all the time in the world.

Really put his body on the line in the first moments which really pumps up the team mates. Hopefully had shed this 'soft' tag by now.
 
altho he didnt have the best game tonight (definitely not a bad game either), i have no doubt that he will be remembered as a great. the guy oozes class that not many third or fourth year players have. where selwood looks to work to hit a man on the chest, gibbs does it with ease. altho after saying this, selwood is a freak and leader.

What an absolute star. Can't believe how good he is already at his age. Carlton are a scary prospect with their midfield.

Very happy with Gibb's game tonight. Put $5 on him to get the highest Dream Team score and he did not disappoint.
 
Yeah he would be 4-6 votes after two rounds.

I made the comment a few weeks ago on another thread that the gap between him and Selwood would close this year and next year and they would be pretty much equal.

Just doesnt waste his disposal, decision making is first class. People say how Judd's skill isn't that good but one thing he does as good, if not better, than any other player is put it to advantage of a player and set them up. Gibbs is also very good at this.

its bc he doesnt actually use it that well. I saw him last week butcher it on numerous occassions. smooth mover touch of class but over rated and hurt factor is over blown

29 of his disposals were uncontested. We've been getting him to sit just a bit behind the packs, and blokes feeding it out to him to utilize his good disposal. I actually really wish Ratten would just chuck him into the packs permanently already - he could be so damaging the way he can find space when there is none. Unfortunately, with the plethora of good mids we now have, it's best for team balance the way he's playing. Seriously, im not kidding, wait until he's chucked into the very heart of the action, that's when people will see his true worth
 
Another game where Gibbs shows his class, composure, disposals and guts. This kid is already a super star and really stood up again tonight when the heat was on.
